We Tried Taking Ourselves On Safari (No Guides)
Embark on a wild adventure with us as we take a unique spin on exploring the great outdoors—an unassisted African safari! In our latest video, we dive headfirst into the heart of Uganda’s biggest national park, armed with curiosity and a sense of adventure, but sans any professional guidance.
What could possibly go wrong, right? Well, we quickly found out just how challenging this journey could be when our trip kicked off with a dead battery and billowing black smoke! From unexpected setbacks to breathtaking encounters with majestic wildlife, this experience proved that every moment counts.
Join us as we spot lions lounging in the tall grass, giraffes gracefully towering over the savannah, and the intimidating yet fascinating hippos and crocodiles relaxing along the water’s edge. We even got lucky with a glimpse of an elusive leopard, adding an element of thrill to the trip!
But that’s not all—our adventure includes a captivating boat safari to the base of Murchison Falls, where the breathtaking scenery adds a perfect backdrop to our journey. Buckle up as we discover that the driving is just as thrilling as the wildlife spotting!
As seasoned explorers and content creators, we, Jason and Nikki Wynn, invite you to experience this journey with us. Along the way, we’ll share insights into our philosophy of curiosity-led exploration, the importance of connecting with the world, and what it means to live life off the beaten path.

Love the opening, “wheels to keels” 😂…. Your shows are so worth the time to watch! Love the African music too. Terrific show as always!🎉❤
I wouldn't have thought that Uganda would have been so expensive. That said, it is for most folk going to be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
so many memories brought back and had to get my slides out again
Wowza that was awesome!
Again, sooo many good memories!!! Our guides called it the “Toyota migration”! The bigger the “herd” it meant an amazing spotting. We were so lucky and saw a leopard and a rhino! Thank you so much again for sharing!!!

Great episode! Thank you!
Wow, what an adventure. Loved that at the beginning of the video you said that is "Curiosity" that takes you everywhere . And it reminded me that It is not just the boat, it is all the adventures. This one was something else. Thanks Nikki and Jason for the filming, narrative and the effort of everything that you do. Excellent!!!
This reminded me so much of my own adventure in South Africa. Several days spent in Kruger National Park was a lifetime trip with so many animals. Great video you guys!
Nice Sunday morning coffee with the Wynns Thanks So fun and educational too. Awesome photography.
Is standing on the hood of the rental car the right thing to do?

Wowsies. To see so many. Wet your pants amazing. Your body would have been going come on guys, do you want us in flight or fight mode here😂. Wouldn't it be nice to know we weren't on their menu for dinner and they'd be happy to play for the day😊. That fearsome water would worry me more maybe🤔
Y’all are great guides! If you can’t go in person, watch the Wynns!
Unfortunately Uganda is one of the most dangerous places in the world for the lgbt community at the moment.
Thank you for bringing us along. I would not of seen all those animals or the River Nile falls. Beauty and sights that make it all worth it. Thanks for the contents of all your ventures.
People getting out of their vehicles need their head read after all it is a wildlife sanctuary.
Wheels to keels and everything in between! You two do it all and with such interesting narration and amazing videography to boot. Better than any National Geo show on TV!!!!
