The Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh did not hold back during question period on Tuesday, criticizing the Liberal Party after their defeat in the Montreal byelection of the LaSalle—Émard—Verdun riding. Poilievre stated, “Canadians in the former Liberal strongholds of Toronto and Montreal have now given their verdict. After nine years, this prime minister is not worth the cost,” highlighting issues such as rising taxes, costs, and crime. Singh echoed these sentiments, declaring, “It’s clear from the results of the election last night, the Liberals are done.”
Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland defended the Liberals’ performance, pointing out that inflation has returned to pre-pandemic levels and that wages have outpaced inflation for 19 consecutive months. However, the criticism from Poilievre and Singh reflects a growing dissatisfaction with the Liberal Party among voters in key strongholds.
The loss in the Montreal byelection marks another setback for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s party, as they continue to face criticism from opposition leaders. The future of the Liberal Party is now called into question, with Poilievre and Singh suggesting that Canadians are no longer willing to support the current government. As the political landscape shifts, it remains to be seen how the Liberal Party will address these concerns and regain the trust of voters.

Costs are because of coperate greed , Personal greed.
Wages go up manufacturers, labor strikes settled , landlords raise rents , builder and developers raise the cost of new unaffordable housing .
Suppliers raise costs due to raw materials .
Government Federal government awarded them selves a heft salary increases over the last years.
And you all pays for these increases ?
Minnuim wages increased prices go up from the products on the shelves , what's on the trailers, manufacturers importers distributors suppliers .
Common sense seems is not being used .
Union settles a strike they receive salary concessions. Employees get what they went on strike for , only to get caught again because prices get increased.
Man jagmeet is so out of touch with reality
Nobody is panicked, we just want you at Freeland.
The Hobbit is back (in red)!
Completely out of touch. 😂😂
Freeland = 10 lbs potatoes in a 5lbs bag
Just going to predict here that people will be sorry if they give Poilievre a majority govt. Because they are for the rich and big business no matter what they are saying now. Do your research of the PC governments history .
Trudeau has to go but Pierre will be a disaster. I can guarantee that in 4 yrs this man will be so despised he will be lucky to get a 2nd term. His only platform is axe the tax. Then he rambles on like trump with no substance to offer. Cant wait until he is P.M. and then see him get his due. Talks about housing and when he was in power and in charge he built 6 homes in 8 yrs. What a loser.
Jughead is delusional
what a blow too the giant ego, hey JT goooooooooooooooo
theres really only one thing for JT too do and if he thinks other wise he should be comitted
Trudeau not sitting in Parliament….AGAIN!He must be home crying over his latest loss! What a terrible excuse for a leader!Freeland is worse than nails on a chalkboard…at least nails and chalkboard serve a purpose.
If only Pierre's war against Carbon Tax, was the cure-all for Canada's issues. 98% of his platform is Carbon Tax. As if any time there has been a switch-up of government, personal taxes have miraculously lowered for regular Canadians lmao. Just take a look at what the provinces led by Conservatives are doing right now…..lower social services budgets, and increase budgets for necessary GARANTEED services BELOW the rate of inflation and cost of living while pushing a privatized system by slowly dismantling the infrastructure Canadians have depended on for decades. What a joke.
defund cbc
Inflation down to 2% is a BIGGGG EFFFN DEAL btw
Inflation is now down to where it was. The RATE of inflation is down (as in the slope of the line), but the level of inflation is still higher. Call Feeland out on this
Freeland is a cringe

How people can still elect NDP ( Winnipeg) baffles me. But it's good the blok one in Montreal cause maybe the blok will vote against Jihadi Justin if they think they can improve seat count
Freeland spends $6000 a month on a gym membership, haircuts and facials but her and her family sat down and saved $20 a month by getting rid of Disney plus.
Yes, Canadians got some good news today the Liberals lost in another 2 byelections, Ms Freeland.
