A water buffalo had a miraculous escape from a slaughterhouse, only to be shot by police in the abdomen. The incident took place when the animal managed to break free from its captors and started roaming the streets. Concerned residents quickly called the authorities, who arrived at the scene and attempted to subdue the distressed buffalo.
Despite their best efforts, the situation escalated, leading to the police firing multiple shots at the animal. One of the bullets hit the buffalo in the abdomen, causing severe injuries. Thankfully, animal welfare activists intervened and rushed the wounded buffalo to a nearby sanctuary for urgent medical treatment.
The buffalo, now safe and recovering at the sanctuary, will be able to live out the rest of its days in peace and away from harm.
