This incredible journey shows how massive the State of New York is. The drive started in New York City; went through parts of New Jersey & Pennsylvania; came back into New York State (passing through the cities of Buffalo & Niagara Falls) before crossing into Canada.
In the 50 years I lived in New York City, I spent just a few hours north of NYC or Westchester (apart from many trips to other states). My loss. A reminder that NYC is an extremely small part (by size) of a huge & beautiful state.
Thanks AK! Get well soon.
She gets off work at 5:00.
Praying for you, action kid

Hey, you stayed at the same Marriott Fallsview that I did 2 years ago, I was on the 12th floor with an amazing view and I got a great time lapse of the sunrise over the horseshoe. What floor did you get or I will wait until you present your room review. This was a epic road trip from NYC to Niagara Falls & Toronto
this guy has a good sense of direction
Thanks for showing my hometown Toronto. Loved the video.
TIL, people in NYC drive like crazy haha!
Did the border agent follow your channel! lol
I hope you come back to New York in other ways. I saw that there is road 11 parallel to road 81. There is also road 7 and 29. I'm sure it will take you longer, it must be more interesting than the Highways.
You should do this drive except use the "Avoid Highways" feature on Google Maps. Adds about 3 hours but makes for a far more interesting and picturesque drive and is much more enjoyable than driving on the interstates.
I was considering taking a day trip to Niagara Falls from NYC. However, I decided there was too much to do in the city in one visit. Seeing this video is the next best thing!
It's too late now but I would recommend detouring onto Thorold Stone Road out of Niagara Falls and going west. This will take you to the Thorold Tunnel, the only highway tunnel I'm aware of in Canada. It's our Lincoln Tunnel but much shorter in length. Coming out of the tunnel takes you onto highway 58 and then you can take highway 406 north and reconnect with the QEW.
We drive from Toronto to NYC often to visit family. Since the 80s. We usually do 90 east to 87 south cross Tappanzee Bridge down to Major Deegan Expy through Bronx and into Queens. Usually 9 ish hours. Did it in 8.5 a few times with less stops.
