i came here after watching the Apprentice
The man was iconic genius
He looks like Tom hanks
They gays always win 🏆
The 60 Minutes interview does not mention that Cohn assisted the U.S. Attorney Irving Saypol in prosecuting the Rosenbergs in their treason trial. The judge Irving Kaufman, the defense attorney Emmanuel Bloch, most of the witnesses, and the prosecutors were all Jews, but none of the jurors were.
Why you call it 60 minutes when it goes 17 minutes?
Ein Gesicht, ein Blick und eine Mimik, die beängstigend seelenlos ist und eiskalte Intelligenz ausdrückt. Man wollte ihn wohl nicht zum Feind haben!
4:45 “He’s just invulnerable.” Not really. He thought he was but died of AIDS.
To understand this portrayal and his self-descriptions you need to peel back his show and you can do that by listening to his answer on why he never married while remembering that the actual answer is that he was gay. Now watch at that very natural, somewhat elaborate and creative lie he gives. Now keep that lie and his face and tone and behavior performing it in mind watching the rest. I bet he didn't even have a frog collection (a humanizing detail).
The mirrors on the ceiling in his “exercise office” is hilarious. And kinda creepy.
I would have hired him in a minute if I had to. Do you want a criminal lawyer or do you want a 'criminal' lawyer? – Jesse Pinkman
It’s bizarre watching this after watching The Apprentice. Jeremy Strong absolutely NAILED playing him.
Walters was trying to hide her private life as well.
Trump is clearly the Charlie McCarthy to Cohn's ventriloquism. Pun intended.
He was so right about this
Very wise man
Very intelligent person
why soo many hatefull comments thats antisemitism
That shot of Roy with that other notorious closet case, Terrence Cardinal Cooke, was my favorite bit. I'm pretty sure that the guys at CBS knew the score with Roy and knew the score with Cardinal Cooke and picked that shot on purpose. It telegraphed information to anyone aware. To the rest it was "crickets".
Roy is back from the dead. The Red Scare 2.0 is coming.
Great guy
A true parasite. No surprises he was Drumpf's mentor. He should have had an end like so many of his mafia clients, but the cowardness of US leaders allowed him to instead thrive.
That there is Trump's teacher and mentor
this was real journalism – much better than the propaganda we are flooded with today
Here after the apprentice movie, the actor played his part extremely well! this also raises some eyebrows on how influential he has been on a few individuals…
Whatever they were guilty of, advocating for the execution of a married couple with young children is vile. Cohn was a snake alright. Jeremy Strong portrayed him excellently in The Apprentice, just like the writers made his character appear incredibly accurate to reality.
A snake, a weasel, in human form
Reminds me of the Tromp attorney who got sent off. That same over the top nerve.
Not sure why 60 minutes wanted to put a negative spin on this brilliant lawyer. If I was really in a bad place, I’d welcome someone like Roy Cohn.
