Second Houthi Strike on Riyadh Airport in Two Days: Rising Tensions and Casualties
In a shocking escalation of hostilities, Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has been struck for the second time in just two days by missiles launched by Houthi forces from Yemen. The latest attack, which occurred on Sunday, has resulted in the tragic death of one person, identified as a Pakistani resident, and left 11 others injured.
Saudi military officials reported that a projectile struck a passenger hall at the airport, igniting a fire that prompted immediate emergency responses. This attack follows a devastating strike the day before, which claimed the lives of 13 individuals and injured 308 others, highlighting a concerning pattern of violence in the region.
In a statement, the Houthi group claimed responsibility for the strikes and issued a warning to airlines and passengers, advising them to avoid using Saudi Arabian airports and airspace. This bold declaration underscores the group’s intent to escalate its campaign against the Saudi government, which has been engaged in a protracted conflict with the Houthis since 2015.
The implications of these attacks extend beyond immediate casualties, raising questions about the safety of air travel in the region and the broader political ramifications of escalating tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis. As both parties brace for further potential conflict, the international community watches closely, concerned about the destabilizing effects this turmoil could have on the already volatile region.
Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority continues to assure the public and international community of its commitment to securing air travel while assessing the damage and implementing security measures following these alarming incidents.
As the situation develops, the world remains on edge, hoping for a swift resolution to a conflict that seems to be intensifying by the day.

Every citizen of Saudi Arabia has a silver spoon in their mouth
The UN and US shouldn’t have forced a Britain to rush and disband its empire after WW2. Britain used to keep this area safe with the Aden Protectorate.
Trump knows how to treat ally
They want nukes so bad, send them 1!😂
Excellent
The analyst says the Houthis are "losing ground by the hour." They just hit the capital's main airport twice in two days. Pick one.
Why is IRAN winning this war!.?
WHY IS (BBC-C) BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION OF CHINA IS CRIBBING CRYING SULKING SHAMELESSLY 😅😅😅😅😅
I would like to see a Saudi asked about the airstrike they launched on the Sanaa airport that renewed this conflict. I'd also remind them that from Vietnam to Afghanistan the US isn't really very good at these things, they might want to find better help.
this is so wrong.
strike runways if you have to, damage economy if you have to – but not civilian parts i.e departure ports . same goes for Ukraine Russia and everyone else
The spokesman for the Saudis is totally delusional 😂😂😂
That's probably why Trump is not helping them
Activate interceptors
Looks like the Houthis are fully in control now
Saudi's should have gifted a BIG JET to Trump.
Really a shame the UK is held hostage to oil prices. Perhaps their electorate will wake up one day, after they are fed up with paying extortionate energy prices.
Isn't religion great
رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَٰذَا بَلَدًا آمِنًا وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ
Too distressing?!?! You don't show and talk about the Saudi bombing on Yemen and the hundreds of civilian casualties there – which is even more distressing. You also don't talk about how Saudi has oppressed Yemeni people for decades. Why won't you give us the full picture?
If only Trump got a Nobel Peace Prize he could have stopped this in 48 hours! Saudi though is simply getting the love it has rained on Yemen for fourteen years.
Where is the Daddy 😮
The roof cause: Greater Israel Project
Houthies responded to Saudi attacks.
This is one-sided reporting.
Saudis are not capable to protect themself. Saudis designed a weak army to protect themself from a possible coup so they invest their relation with USA and created Petro Dollar. End of the day, it seams USA abandon them and showing no interest to protect Saudis.
Don't the Saudis realise that those who just roll over only get kicked even more? They have an extremely well equipped military. So, when Iran and the Houthis repeatedly hit them, why won't they fight back?
Mr. Trump has really speed up the third world war😂
Time for Turkiye and Pakistan to level the Houthis.
Let muslims deal with muslims, the US should sit this one out.
