A heartbreaking and tragic story out of Ohio, as a desperate single mom lost her life while trying to protect her young son from a carjacking. Alexa Stakely, just 29 years old, bravely jumped onto the hood of her car in an attempt to save her 6-year-old son, Deluca, from two suspects trying to steal her vehicle. Unfortunately, her heroic efforts ended in tragedy as she was thrown from the car and suffered fatal injuries.
The heartbreaking incident took place outside a babysitter’s home in Columbus, where Stakely had left her son sleeping in the car. Her younger step brother, Hayden Swartz, described her as a special and wise person, highlighting the immense loss felt by her loved ones.
