Wright, who was receiving medical treatment at Seton Hays Hospital on December 12, 2022, attempted to escape while being guarded by a corrections officer. In a shocking turn of events, Wright assaulted the corrections officer and ran through the emergency room on foot, prompting the officer to discharge his firearm and strike Wright.
Medical staff at the hospital immediately sprang into action, trying to save Wright’s life, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries from the shooting. The incident, captured on bodycam footage, sheds light on the tragic turn of events that unfolded that day.
