My condolences to all the families that have lost a loved one in this manner & sorry to all that have been left scared as well. No one deserves to go through that.

Now when it comes to weight loss, exercising especially running will get you results quite fast in a natural way. Mix it up with a bit of strength training & weight lifting in the gym. This will build you emotionally, physically & psychologically. One also develops mental toughness & discipline is key in all this especially with eating.

When you get the weight loss surgery & the discipline isn't there, then what next? One needs discipline to maintain healthy weight.

Just put in the work & yes results might not be instant but there will be a lot of growth at a personal level within you & you come out the other side stronger in body & spirit. Life wasn't meant to be easy but we have to go through a lot & that is the beauty in the journey of life.

I told my husband how much I hate how everyone on tv looks the same. I lost a lot of weight and hate how my skin sags in places but I still don’t want to go through a painful surgery and look at scars. Blah

So heartbreaking to watch. I see myself, all those years ago, in these women, and that was long before the internet.

I wish I could just give them all a big hug and words of encouragement – you are all beautiful without surgery. You deserve respect, you deserve love, you deserve quality health treatment from your own government. I wish I could tell them to focus on their own world – their confidence, their sense of self, their personality, their passions, their hobbies, their work, their loved ones – the ones who TRULY love them, and to realize the bullies need someone to shame in order for them to feel good, how low they are as human beings, how flawed and in many cases, traumatized as well. And how the industry, the system, bullies and shames women as well, in order to make money off of them. Forget the likes, develop your own self. We desperately need outsiders, innovators, people who think outside the box. Women who disregard the system that says, you must look like x, y or z.

At the very least, I hope these women will be successful in their lawsuits. At best, I hope it can not only change the medical system in Turkey and in their own country, but to give other women pause for thought as to how our world is affecting them. I had such high hopes when the internet came about, that we could connect, we could learn – we had so much knowledges at the tip of our fingers. And now, how it went all so wrong with influencers, with online bullying, with misinformation…

Thanks for the warning. Many people need to hear this. Better regulation is needed. This happens in the US too though. Look up Dr. Ben Brown, Miami. It's not just Turkey.

Let me tell you a secret: men like women young or old, slim or thick. You don't need plastic surgery. The most beautiful older women are those that never got any surgery done and no fillers or lifts or whatever. Look at Nancy Pelosi. She's 84 and still looks attractive. Why? Because you still make out the contours of her face. Wrinkles don't make anyone look ugly.
