Great video
A couple did the same trip in a 40 sail boat .
Awesome trip and beautiful boat. Hope you guys get something like that for future travels!
It would be cool to show how the stabilizers operate.
We’ve had sail and power boats, and have always been a fan of trawlers and long-range cruisers. Alaska and the PNW is by far my favorite region. The beauty is unparalleled. Such a beautiful boat and I too was surprised by the low fuel rates. Almost makes me want to start looking at LRC’s! I’m truly enjoying this new chapter in your travel journeys, and sorry to see this one on this boat come to an end. Looking forward to see what’s in store!
OMG…..THREE BREACHES and you MISSED them ALL —- Time to WALK the PLANK…..FRANK !
So very cool. Wow what that boat is awesome, and the places and things you will be able to see!
Humpback whales kind of hate orcas. There's a lot of cool documentation of humpback whales defending other animals against orcas. It's really fascinating.
Hey Guys…Did you know that Seymour Narrows was the site of one of the largest non-nuclear blasts ever recorded? On April 5, 1958, Ripple Rock, located in the middle of the narrows was blown up as it was a major navigation hazard. It had claimed 114 lives, damaging over 120 vessels. They used 1,270 metric tons of explosives detonating charges placed in tunnels under the narrows, erupting 700,000 tons of water and rock to a height of 1000 ft. I've been through the Narrows dozens of times as I was a BC seine boat fisherman for over 20 years….Cheers.
I would trust Nikki’s driving.
I guess it comes down to do you want to be comfortable or have to deal with the elements when you travel?
I'm too old for a bucket list, but a trip like this one would be the highlight of a lifetime.
It would have been cool to have an underwater microphone to listen to the whales.
Thanks everyone involved in giving us another wonderful video! Seeing whale and orca was interesting and I'm glad they seemed to be chill orca. Seeing them, made me wonder about the orca that were going around attacking yatchs, how this boat would do in that instance.
Really nice !! I have seen Arksen 65, very nice boat also 😃 did you looked at this ? Continue those nice videos 😉
Y'All have to do the Trawler thing I wpuld love to see places not many sailing/boating YT channels show ❤❤❤Love you guys
Too bad y’all don’t have under water microphones for the whales
They might have a zero speed stabilizer, which would make a huge difference on rolly anchorages.
Bots are out of control on this channel
Wonderful….
Jason should get a hydrophone for all the future whale sightings! Love the new content.
Now where? I love how this boat made you smile. Something different will be an adventure!
The "Whale" Klan. That's a bunch of wealthy scotsmen sighted in Las Vegas.
If you want to catch every whale breach. A 360 camera mounted to the forward rail, like the X5, would give image stabilization to the horizon and catch everyting.
Thanks for sharing this fantastic voyage. It was fun trying to follow along on the maps. From a fan in Ottawa, Canada.
What a great trip, Thank you for sharing.
Very impressed with the trawler, maybe it’s just advanced age but I don’t think I would miss the sail changes all that much.
COCONUT MILK RUN ANYBODY?
This kind of boating seems so sterile compared to the cat!. So much more expensive and just too much sitting around on trips
It looked like an awesome trip. It feels like you could get spoiled on a boat like that. Great video
I was born in Campbell River, grew up in those islands, became a marine biologist and now live in California as a veterinarian…. Nice interaction you guys saw! Love that area and that kind of boat for you two!
I really admire yall so much. Living a life that some of us dream of.
That was SO beautiful and amazing. When Dad brought the Dutch Treat up in the 80s, grandma said the boat totally rolled over in the Gulf LOL. Thanks for taking us along …. again ❤ Thanks to Mike & Mia!
I loved this Video would love if there would be more like these.
Have fun, all respect to Linda and Steve Dashew on this topic.
Looks like Queen Charlotte's to me……
Wonderful experience.
Still wish they would have turned off the stabilizers just to see how the boat handled the rough sea.
The big question: Would Jason turn green?
Mmmmm crabs! Rough seas are fun… for short periods. Spent several days near the PI,/Vietnam with some huge Pacific swells. Pretty gentle up and down ride, like an elevator. Didn't mind that so much.
I think the Wynns should check out the Nordhavn motor sail
So what im hearing for you is the exployeer yacht is in your future. Seems like the hardest part is finding a 65 foot or slightly shorter. With the current market your in a great position to get a great deal. My only recommendation is get the parasail than Nautiguys show and its going to help on windy day to pull the boat along if you want advantage to slightly longer is engine further back and quieter. Or maybe you find a hybrid of the two. Either way I cant wait to come along and be part of your new boat or used but it will be fun to see you and Rico and Victoria sailing
Am I watching Americans harvesting crab in Canadian waters?
So after three videos and eight hundred miles along the coast from Alaska to the San Juans, what's your take? Could you and would you be willing to venture into high latitudes on an explorer yacht like this?🌊
