Author Video Description
We turn on a tap and water appears. But behind that simple act lies a river, land, labour, communities, and consequences we rarely see.
Drawing from his life along the Cauvery and his experience working with communities to restore water bodies, Ashok Raja asks us to look at progress through four simple questions:
What does it give us?
What does it hide from us?
Who pays the cost?
What choices does it leave for the next generation?
Through water, the talk explores a larger conversation about social justice, climate justice, and intergenerational justice — and asks how we can build progress without taking away the choices of those who come after us.
