America are the land of the cruel & this Zoo & Supreme Court PROVES THEY ARE ANIMAL ABUSERS!!!! The judge & all involved with not releasing Billy need to be jailed for life without the possibility of parole or visitors!!!!!
There are more animals lovers & people willing to do anything to save a nonhuman compared to sadistic animal abusers…. Why are we not taking matters in to our own hands & get Billy back to where he really should be along with any other innocent nonhumans??????????
Lovely to see Kaavan so very happy and content, living the life he should have always enjoyed. Totally heartbreaking to see Billy still suffering such an unnatural life at the zoo. So many people helping him, court cases being won, why 'oh why' has this zoo not been compelled to hand Billy over. The poor boy deserves to live in a happy natural environment, he has been a prisoner for far too long, and shame on the authorities who think its okay to make money from 'poor creatures living a horrible cruel life', alone, apart from being starred at by crowds of people every day. Please please get Billy out of that hell hole and back into the natural environment he should never have been taken from all those years ago!
PLEASE LA CITY COUNCIL … SEND BILLY TO SANCTUARY or KNOW that his situation is AKIN to YOU being LOCKED in your BATHROOM for 30+ YEARS AND COUNTING …. ALONE … with NOTHING TO DO! He's TORMENTED THERE!
SEND HIM TO SANCTUARY NOW! END putting elephants in zoos and circusus and RIDICULOUS HUMAN RIDES or JOBS. THEY are MEANT to be FREE and ROAM with their FAMILIES ….just like us!
Animals are so abused everywhere in the world – it makes me cry when I think about it
I loathe zoos, aquariums and anything and everything that keeps animals from their natural habitat
It is now time to free Billy before something bad happens to him as the previous elephants in the zoo. Billy exhibit animal mental illness that is why he has to go to an sanctuary now # Free Billy Now #
This is fantastic news . But there is another elephant in cypress .on her own and a small paddock roughly 100ft by 30ft or 40ft she is made to perform for people to eat small places of food . It upset me so she much we left the zoo . It's about £25 to get a photo with her in her enclosure standing next to her. 😢 Please help her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!?
Thank you at the elephant sanctuary, for what you do for the elephants, and thank you for not giving up on freeing Billy from The Las Angles Zoo!
LA Zoo, Billy living like he does, bobbing his head, bored out of his mind, is a BAD LOOK FOR YOU! People don’t want to come to the zoo and see that! People don’t want to come away feeling sad because your elephant is clearly loosing his mind…💔🐘❤️🩹💜😁 🐘 🐘 🐘
Truthfully, you would be a damn fool if you thought you, children or anyone could learn about an animal or conservation of that animal by visiting a ZOO. It is mind blowing that one would believe that. This story is sickening. How did us humans fair from lockdown? I have heath issues at my age of 48 which keep me unable to leave my house most of the time and I can’t begin to say how mentally shithouse I feel. My anxiety is bloody awful.
I don’t think as a child I ever learnt about animals from a zoo. Fact is that elephants are more like humans than any other animals because they are Empaths and feel emotions like us. They live in social systems like humans and need many of their own kind with vast land to thrive. Guess what, I learnt all about animals of all kinds from watching documentaries. Shove your kids and yourselves in front of documentaries, learn and understand the reality. WTF is going on over in LA? They say “CONSERVATION” but they aren’t conservative in the slightest. Are you actively breeding to increase numbers then releasing? NO. Honestly, I feel like vomiting now after listening to bullshit excuses from that so called ‘Head elephant keeper’ of Billy. Bullshit isn’t enough actually, they are full of ELEPHANT SHIT.
Free Billy.
And we have the gall to call THEM animals🥹
The most dangerous ANIMAL on earth are HUMANS.
I am happy for Kavaan. I hope Billy gets to feel freedom.
❤❤❤❤
Ty for letting him go free he is now happy. 😊😊
This sucks.. omg
Humans are so cruel.
In 2005, the Detroit Zoo was the first large zoo to send their last two elephants to a sanctuary in CA. I give a great
deal of credit to the head of the zoo, Ron Kagan.. Metro D.
It is indeed telling that the Islamabad High Court ordered the relocation of Kaavan to a species appropriate environment where he has now spent more than 4 happy years, and changed so so much in confidence trust and calmness – and his physical health too, he’s such a beautiful soul now – but meanwhile an Asian male elephant in the US. Court system going all the way to the Supreme Court, still remains incarcerated, even though his legal team won on every hearing except for the technicality at the Supreme Court. It’s disgusting. Did the US zoo lobby feel threatened enough to lobby the Supreme Court? It’s baffling. It was said that it’s now up to LA City Council make the compassionate decision to relocate Billy to a sanctuary – there are 2 in the US, one has given homes to male elephants already, the Tennessee Elephant Sanctuary,, enough of this cruelty, Billy needs to retire to a place where they know about elephants and what they need – in Tennessee he will have vast diverse spaces to roam, elephant company if he chooses it, and autonomy. I will join whatever campaign there is to add my voice and actions #FreeBilly !
Zoos were only supposed to save animals that were going extinct, they should be free or go to a sanctuary, Bob Hope has an elephant sanctuary there in California, why can't Billy go there?
Why can't the L.A. Zoo just admit that they've taken away 35 years of the great beasts life and let him enjoy the last five or ten years he has left at a sanctuary. The Oakland zoo last year gave it's 35 year old African bull to a sanctuary in Tennessee. It might be Cambodia, but is no solitary confinement prison. The Los Angeles zoo has no moral or scientific ground to stand on.
