Living on a boat may seem like a dream come true for many, but is it really worth it? The latest video from Gone With The Wynns follows Mel and Coop, seasoned Coast Guard veterans, as they join the Curiosity Crew to experience liveaboard life and determine if the rewards of sailing around the world are worth all the work.
After facing wild tides, unsettled weather, and anchoring challenges, Mel and Coop reflect on their experience and whether it aligns with their dreams of setting sail on a boat of their own. The video captures the ups and downs of cruising, the beauty of living off-grid, and the challenges of alternative living.
As Jason and Nikki Wynn, the couple behind Gone With The Wynns, emphasize in their video description, curiosity is the key to unlocking life. Their mission to #CultivateCuriosity has led them on a journey of self-reliance, connecting with strangers, and exploring alternative lifestyles.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to live on a boat or sail around the world, this video provides a firsthand look at the realities of boat life. From boat chores in calm seas to dodging logs and debris, the crew faces a range of challenges that test their commitment to living on the water.
So, is living on a boat worth it? Watch the video to find out and see if Mel and Coop’s experience on the sea further fuels their desire to embark on their own sailing adventures.

Lol Jason could have QSY to channel 16, HAM radio lingo heh.
Those 2 love-bird Coasties are awesome… I can tell immediately they are experienced sailors… and that’s a Good thing, believe me. Would sail off-shore w them any day or night
I DON'T THINK AG1 CAN COMPARE WITH JUST TAKING A WHOLE STRING OF VITAMINS AND I FOUND OUT THAT WHO SELLS THE BEST VITAMINS TARGET THE NAME BRAND VITAMINS MAY BE HAVE 12 THINGS IN THEM WHERE IS TARGET'S OWN BRAND HAS 27 SO BECAUSE I AM 75 I DON'T LISTEN TO JUST TAKING SENIOR EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE 27 THINGS IN IT THEY'RE NOT THE SAME 27 AS FOR THOSE THAT ARE 50 OR LESS BECAUSE THE ONES FOR PEOPLE UNDER 50 A LOT MORE B VITAMINS
SO IN YOUR ADVERTISING FOR THEM YOU DON'T SAY HOW MANY VITAMINS ARE IN THERE AND HOW CLOSE THEY ALL ARE TO 100% OF WHAT YOU NEED

Real cruising … on YouTube … so no nice to see.
Just wondering, is your vocabulary so lacking that all you can use is four letter expletives? I think highly of the both of you but such language is so unbecoming
Comes with sailing, weather change suddenly…:)
Don’t kid yourself Coop! The sun behind those clouds can still blast through and you might not get burned but there’s still the chance of that evil skin cancer!
I haven't been following your chanell for awhile, that said I was shocked to learn that you gave up on Leopard cat. After all the years of accolades for Leopard cats. I was a shock to see you dumped Lepard for another brand. What am I missing in your logic or justification for your choice.
Them Coasties are so ready!!!!
REALLY looking forward to next week. Much respect for going to the effort to learn (and share lessons) from real pros.
The new crew are proving to be perfect, the lessons learned and important points reinforced are priceless
Considering your guests have extensive experience under power they might be more suited to voyaging under power. The Dashew’s transitioned to power from sail. With solar it is now possible to do long passages at reasonable fuel consumption.
Lots of work and a ton of $$$$. That's the tradeoff. Enjoy!
Thank you!

Great job guys , very inspiring. My resolve has been waning recently and you have reignited my passion.🎉❤
0:22 reason for subscription
Do the black solar panels get too hot to walk on during sunny days?
I just don’t understand why the Wynn’s don’t have over a million subscribers. This is one of the most professional and honest videos out here. I’ve had the honor of meeting them and what you see is what you get. They are welcoming and friendly. It does not cost you a dime to subscribe so please jump on board and support these deserving couple. PS: I was not asked to say this by anyone.
It would be cool if u had a little inset window where it shows your course on a map as you move about.
So enjoyed the whole vlog.
A incredibly interesting and beautiful episode. Stunning dive footage I don't think I could never get bored watching any and all of your videos. Very professional work you guys, thank you for doing what you do.
The work is what wears you down. As you age the work intensifies and becomes the sled behind your pulling tractor. Eventually it digs in and you stop. At 72 this is my reality. And my
boating workload is 1/10 what you guys do. Don't wait if it's what you want to do.
Without a doubt the Unites States Coast Guard is the finest coast guard in the world. Thank you Coasties.
Consider not wearing a shirt with a tail hanging down over the running engine.
OK so….. I watch this on my computer and a long time ago, I had a kitty that knocked my main monitor off its pedestal. When it fell it created a small blemish on the screen and it's so small I haven't replaced my monitor yet….. SO….. At 01:33 That beautiful and adorable Mel kept TRYING to remove my blemish from my monitor!!…. THANK YOU Mel! You're awesome for trying!!! HAHA
I did NOT want this video to end!!! Thank you for CLEARLY articulating how MUCH work it is being on a boat and how much you CARE for it! I really believe that at the end of life expectancy of Curiosity, it will STILL be considered a NEW catamaran!!!
I really don't want Mel and Coop to leave! They added SOOOO much value to your boat AND YT content. What a great small crew! "I" will miss them both!
Your underwater videography is ASTONISHING!!! You both are SO brave swimming with the jellies and with Nikki saying that she even got sting a couple of times….. Jeez! NO WAY for me! I'd be OUT faster than I got IN the water! You guys are so brave!!
