As tensions rise between Air Canada and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), travellers booked on the airline are being warned to be proactive in case of a potential pilots strike. With negotiations stalled and pilots potentially setting up picket lines, the possibility of flight disruptions looms large for passengers.
Tourism experts are advising travellers to stay informed about the situation and have a backup plan in place in case of any cancellations or delays. Being prepared and proactive can help mitigate the impact of a potential strike on travel plans.
While Air Canada has said they are working towards a resolution with the pilot’s union, the uncertainty remains for passengers who may be affected by a strike. It is important for travellers to closely monitor their flights and be prepared for any changes that may arise.
In the event of a pilots strike, Air Canada may offer alternative flight options or compensation for affected passengers. However, it is advisable for travellers to have contingency plans in place to ensure a smooth travel experience during this uncertain time.
Overall, the key message for travellers booked on Air Canada is to stay informed, be proactive, and have a backup plan in case of any disruptions due to a potential pilots strike. By being prepared and flexible, passengers can navigate through any challenges that may arise and still enjoy their travel experience.

I'm curious if the Canadian gov thinks every industry just likes striking every few months as a treat or something. people constantly have to fight for fair wages. capitalism doesn't seem to be working the way it was advertised.
Stupid greedy union
This is unprofessional it is going to be frustrating for travellers .
The CEO just gave himself a 233% raise.
AC had record 2.2 biliion dollars in profits last year.
The pilots deserve a fair piece of the pie after losing 45% in wages and concessions over the last 20 years.
NDP Liberal Singh trying to rescue his career.
Gonna strike for them too and choose not to fly. I love driving from Edm to Van anyway. Always an adventure.
Wished they would go under. Worst airline in Canadian history… I would never fly Air Canada
The top 5 AC management heads make 23.1 Million annually combined while a year 1 pilot at AC makes 58k. The CEO awarded himself with a 233% raise and makes 12.4M. They can afford to pay their pilots fairly but choose not to.
Worst airline company out there 🖕
Singh is history soon.
Bruh… I literally just booked my ticket 🤦🏻♂️
Worst airline in Canada. Never fly air Canada
I just bought a ticket with a different carrier as a back-up plan in case my Air Canada flight is cancelled due to industrial action. So for a modest additional spend, my upcoming vacation to Canada and US isn’t ruined.
My AC flight is more convenient than the back-up plan, so for now, I’m keeping both tickets and keeping an eye on the situation.
Travellers planning to fly soon with AC would be foolish to just do nothing right now. If they wait till AC starts cancelling flights in anticipation of the start of the pilots’ strike, good luck getting a replacement flight.
