President Trump’s administration has found itself embroiled in a legal battle with a federal judge over deportation flights to El Salvador, raising questions about the limits of executive power. The dispute escalated on Saturday night when U.S. District Judge James Boasberg issued a verbal order blocking Trump from using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport noncitizens, yet three planes still departed and arrived in El Salvador.
The Wall Street Journal delves into the details of the case, examining the planes involved and why the timing of these flights is significant. The incident has sparked concern and scrutiny surrounding the Trump administration’s adherence to judicial orders and the implications for individuals facing deportation.
The legal showdown surrounding the deportation flights highlights the ongoing tensions between the executive branch and the judiciary. The timeline of events leading up to the departure of the planes underscores the urgency and complexity of the situation, with the administration pushing forward despite the court order.
Looking ahead, the question remains: what will be the repercussions of Trump’s defiance of the judge’s order? As the case continues to unfold, the outcome could have far-reaching consequences for immigration policy and the balance of power between branches of government.
The standoff between President Trump’s Department of Justice and U.S. District Judge James Boasberg serves as a critical test of the boundaries of executive authority and the rule of law. Stay tuned as the situation develops and the implications become clearer.

Why did the Judge say no
No. A president is representing People elected him. A judge, a citizen is just a citizen and govt.servant. So a judge cannot dictate a president's act.
That judge is showing his Treason, right there!
Can we ever get the names pf those guys.
Those people? Will we ever know anything about who they are. Will they be lost in a horrible abyss
Of no return? Heard some tough stuff about the poor souls that have been put there. Dantes inferno.
Im no pollyanna but…was there another way to handle.
so what if he did?
the Godking of Trumpistan is #abovethelaw after all!
Great job Mr president!!!!
That is what we voted for!!!
👏👏👏👏👏
The Judge has no Federal jurisdiction to impose a judicial order when it comes to a law that is written in the Constitution. The Judge should be disbarred!
I don't care. The criminals are now out of our country. This appointed judge should not have the ability to override the duly elected president of United States of America.
Funny how they didn't have a problem when judges blocked Joe Biden and he went right along as if they had said nothing. Funny how the media didn't mind these criminals coming into our country, but they hate seeing them leave. Why is that?
Propaganda. They will fail and we will watch and laugh
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
This judge is out of order. WSJ should read Article II of the US Constitution and educate themselves on the separations of power and judicial limitations. This judge must be impeached and others like him that violate their office.
I remember learning about a famous historical figure who “deported” people who were determined to be enemies of the state. They were deported to places like Auschwitz.
Judge Boasberg is trying to protect the criminal
Impeach this judge
It starts with a little then all at once
The idea of trump even obeying the law is a joke now.
The man who's golden throne is an actual toilet ignores authority.
And no one will ever do anything.
All of the maga trolls on here criticizing judges, must not have heard Trp's declaration that criticizing judges should be illegal!
Why is this even an issue. The judge needs to be deported on the next flight to El Salvador, simple.
Okay, with respect on the JUGE decision. If what a I’m seeing on video how Salvador takes This guy from the airplane something wrong with our Laws even Salvador treated them with a severe treatment now we want the airplane to turned Around bring them back. Where is the safety of our children.
Question: were those passengers "subject to the jurisdiction thereof"?
DOJ has no power when compared to DJT
1. The Federal Judge's order was written before any of the three planes even reached Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. (let me stop right here and define that the judicial has the power to define what's legal and illegal and their ruling is absolute in this instance. For example, if the senate and the house pass a bill that's unconstitutional rather they know it or not and the President signs it, the courts have the power to strike it down! The President then has a right to challenge that ruling but he has to abide by it until the Supreme Court decides.) It had not reached El Salvador and not one plane had released it's prisoners to El Salvador YET! so the plane should have followed the Judges order period. It was an American flight carrying American detainees under American customs jurisdictions, the planes had not touched down in the foreign country and they had not taken possession of the prisoners YET! #2. Even people in the country who's standing on her soil have certain rights, one of which IS DUE PROCESS! Their rights as visitors, rather legal or illegal, were trampled by the president of the United States who swore an oath on January 20, 2025 to protect and defend the constitution when he sent those prisoners to a country he knew didn't provide due process. Congress has an obligation to bring Trump up on impeachment articles and to try the president a third time; it's their duty. Based on those their past three month's kowtowing to Trump's every whim, they are too scared in the Republican party to do their sworn duty to the American Citizens.
Wall Street Journal Set the timeline by the evidence they received. The statements above are indisputable when the subject is individual rights guaranteed by the constitution. If the foreigners didn't have this legal protection, you as a US citizen could be picked up off the streets, if you had no papers on you to prove your citizenship (you left your wallet home absentmindedly or maybe pick pocketed before the arrest) you could be hauled off to El Salvador who is informed that you're MS-13 and you would not get fair justice when you touched down. Think about it before you judge me and my logic. And don't tell me it can't happen, ask Bradley Bartell who voted for Trump if he thought Trump would have ICE deport his wife back to Peru.
Trump is defying court orders and you maga's are 100% on board with the breakdown of the rule of law, the Republic and the constitution.
Ask yourself this – Would i be happy with President Harris defying court orders and bypassing the rule of law?
Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
I'm sorry, they are gangsters and democrats want to save them 😅
I am so glad he can pardon himself 😅😊
T rump and Tom Holdman need to be removed for good This is horrible!!
Had they discussed it over a cup of tea, this wouldn't have happened in the afternoon.
Judges don’t have that authority. Thank You POTUS Trump!
The order has to be in writing. Landmark Legal Foundation. v. EPA, 2003, District of Columbia: “[A]n injunction does not become an injunction until it is reduced to writing.”
But more importantly, the judge lacks jurisdiction. Ludecke v. Watkins, 1948, U.S. Supreme Court: … the "very nature of the President’s power to order the removal of all enemy aliens rejects the
notion that courts may pass judgment upon the exercise of his discretion.”
Verbal… i didn't hear. 😅😊
Trump could be deported too ? Kremlin
Yes, Trump defied the court.
WSJ adios!!
Now that it's named the Gulf of America, the planes were technically in US air space.
I don't care about these worthless criminals. What i care about is trump using this law against innocent citizens.
If only the WSJ cared as much about American citizens being raped and killed in America by illegal aliens, we'd be much better off as a ciuntry. The judge is another lawless leftwing fanatic trying to overturn an election. He is the same creep who gave Kevin Clinesmith a slap on the wrist for falsifying evidence to obtain a FISA warrant. Presudent Trump need not adhete to illegal orders.
yes
They are in the USA illegally so it doesn’t matter what the judge says…
They are not here legally to begin with…
Biden Administration illegally chartered flights of migrants into airports using FEMA $.
I think we will see this judge again at a congressional hearing
For those who haven’t caught on, this comment section is infested with bots, with 4 numbers at the end of their usernames. Beware of the psyop.
Yes. A resounding yes
Who Cares, just get'm out of here
The act of just holding them in a foreign jail is crazy. Like I don't think El Salvador is temporarily leasing land to America so they are still technically held in America under US law. Do that and if they are found guilty then deport them to their country of citizenship.
GOOD
