Tensions between Ukraine and Russia have escalated once again as Ukraine has launched surprise attacks into Russia’s Kursk region. National Security Analyst Clint Watts discusses the implications of this move and what could come next in the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
The incursions into the Russian border mark a significant escalation in the conflict, with Ukraine taking a bold and unexpected step in its military strategy. The move has raised concerns about the potential for further escalation and retaliation from Russia, which has already been accused of supporting separatist forces in eastern Ukraine.
The situation remains fluid and unpredictable, with both countries facing mounting pressure from the international community to resolve the conflict peacefully. The impact of Ukraine’s actions on the broader geopolitical landscape remains to be seen, but the potential for further conflict and instability in the region is a cause for concern.
As the situation continues to develop, it is important for all parties involved to exercise restraint and work towards finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. The consequences of further military escalation could be severe, not only for Ukraine and Russia but for the broader global community as well.
Overall, the incursions into the Russian border by Ukraine highlight the volatile and complex nature of the conflict between the two countries, and the need for all parties involved to exercise caution and restraint in order to prevent further escalation and potential disaster.

Another setback for Trump and the MAGAs.
Then the claymore drones arrived, coming down from the sky
Then the claymore drones arrived, coming down that steel rain turns the tide
Ukraine should lay claim to this region that used to be part of Duchy of Kiev.
And now as Putin realized that Ukraine did not capitulate in the first week and that the US and NATO and EU were 95 Percent on Ukraine's side. Putin realized that he also has lost the war. He knew it way back in Summer of 22.
But his Ego and his Greed forced him to fight on. Otherwise, if he stopped he would be deemed a failure and that would show the World how Giant Russia was NOT able to crush Ukraine in a week or a month or a year. Just like in Afghanistan, the Russians fought and died and lost so much equipment and I believe it hastened the Fall of the USSR.
So after 10 year in Afghanistan, the Russians pulled out. They knew that they could not keep sending more and more tanks and helicopters and crews to die in the mountains. It was futile and they did the right thing. But it was already too late for the USSR. It was already dying.
Move the Russian front, farther into Russia. Smart.
Ukraine can use Hit and Run Guerilla tactics and keep the Russians off balance. But it's risky because Russia may not chase them, and instead just keep pushing West from Donetsk to Kharkiv and Dnipro.
Why can't Ukraine use the forces she is using to attack Russia profitable __to defend herself?
What is the new generation of Russians don't consistently practice home defense and have no experience defending at home. It's still a risk move by Ukraine but it's working so far.
careful, yall are literally asking him to give you the Sun doing that
Ukraine will get sacked
It's a special F16 operation, not a war.
48% of Kursk speak Ukrainian it is part of the Kingdom of Ukraine and not Russian so this will create a new border as Lavrov stated Russia has no borders!
they cant be stopped now
It's just another 7'th of october, and the response will be the same.
This map is broken as Chimea belongs to Ukraine.
Who is this doorknob with the bird's nest on his head?
Ukraine has taken more land in 24hrs than russia has in 2yrs.
Clint Watts 🤡
This isn't a limited incursion. It's a combined arms, full division, invasion.
Ukraine is only carrying out a Special Military Operation (SMO). After conducting a referendum in the Kursk People's Republic, things will return back to normal. Slava Ukraina.
Wow Ukraine is winning again😂😂😂
Zelenskyy is only delaying the inevitable, and making himself more worthy of a modern-day Nuremberg trial.
War in Europe it's just a shot away
*special military operation
What is funny is that the western media not reporting the gains the russians are making in ukraine. Hint is why Ukraine invade the Kursk region. I swear to God America, PLEASE RESEARCH WW 2 Eastern front. You will learn a lot about russia ukraine and War. Man America you be looking like fools once again.
Russia is hardly a military superpower. Almost 3 years in Ukraine and 100's of thousands Russian soldiers dead. They used sent their youth, their prisoners and l foreigners to assist snd cannot break Ukraine. They are using iranian weapons, North Korean weapon and pillaging/stealing resources from foolhardy central africa and other African nations. Imagine if Ukraine had the US and all it's allies join in like putin did to bd fair. The war would be instantly over and with putin out of power.
SLAVA UKRAINI🌻🌻🌻🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Wait I’m not too informed as this, isn’t technically Ukraine still in Ukraine territory under Russian control?
Ukraine is taking down Putin, and Harris is taking down DJT so democracy is winning on both sides of the globe. 💪💪💪👍
The Ukrainians can trade Kursk region for Crimea, especially when both sides start negotiating peace. If Harris becomes President, Putin will be in a box and will have no choice but to vie for peace. Also attacking the Russian Conscripts can make Putin power tenuous with his people. A smart move for Ukraine.
They could just start drafting more people.
ALL THE WAY TO MOSCOW LETS GOOO
