Love from germany 🇩🇪🙏♥️
Great song, Great video, but unrealistic depiction of a nuclear power plant disaster, which is scientifically impossible. The worst thing could happened is just a meltdown and contaminating a large patch of land. These characters are lucky to get vaporized because the worst thing could happened to them is getting slow and painful demise is cancer from prolonged radiation related exposure.
This is one scary song with the world as it is right now. June 2024. It was pretty scary at the time of its release too. Didn’t expect it to be relevant again so soon
Metal Gear Solid V

What a song, what a melody, meaningful words
This song definitely brings you back to the 80s. Great song.😊
Felt sudden urge to scan somebodys feet while i was listening
Why is there an advert of a great big fat bird talking about shaving her pubes? It's obscene.
This one wounds. I remember first hearing this when tripping over a raised paving stone in warwick
Love you guys
The future was in the past
Who's here in 2024 July knowing that this exact thing is coming to pass very soon😢😢😢😢
Excellent very good❤❤❤
Loved making this film even though its past
Immer noch richtig gut👏❤️🎵
I still remember sneaking up the stairs to my girlfriend's room while her parents slept feet away. Belouis Some, Ultravox, Echo & The Bunnymen, and The Smiths were our favorites. What great memories! That night would be on the time-traveling itinerary for certain.
Imaculatta ❤❤❤❤❤
Best Ultravox song for me
Wir haben es damals vorausgeshen und wollten es bis heute nicht wahr haben, und was passiert heute?es fängt klein an und dann kommt der große knall, wir können nur tanzen, und schlafen 😴 gehen bevor es knallt 😢
Heard this song many years ago, kinda reminds me of the movie Threads
This Song Is in my soul
I always remembered this as being about a nuclear attack.
Turns out it's about an explosion at a nuclear plant.
In retrospect, this makes the video a bit of an overreaction, as the former's explosion will annihilate life immediately, whereas the latter the explosion will not, but the fall out of the aftermath is the catastrophe.
I also don't think people are warned when a nuclear power plant is about to blow. And getting out of range as quickly as possible can still be attempted even if they were warned.
I'm assuming they didn't really know what the difference would be between a plant explosion and a nuclear attack, since Chernobyl hadn't happened yet.
Ive just rralised that ive never seen the full version of this video before. I thought the video was about a nuclear bomb, not a powerplant explosion. Top of the Pops must have cut a lot of this out (the start, the explosion and aftermath). WOW! So impactful and a reminder of how we all lived under the cloud of nuclear war in the 80s.
In 2024 this Song makes more sense than ever.
Greag tune.
When I watched this video in the 1980s, they always left out the first part in the nuclear reactor.
First thing you saw was him driving his car, then seeing the nuclear attack warning on a television.
Yes, that was what I thought it was, a nuclear attack.
Nuclear reactor exploding or World War III, it didn't matter.
They were both nightmares we lived with all the time.
I always loved this song but apparently never saw the video to it….oh God, that's soooo scary and heartbreaking at the same time. Especially considering the current state of our world right now….
