I’m Mark Malcin and I’m Rachel Smith, and we are so excited to be here for the first major red carpet of the year.

We’re here to talk about all the films and the fashion, and we’ve got Angelie Jackson reporting from the best fashion spots on the carpet.

This year’s Golden Globes are bringing some exciting changes, including a new and improved body of 300 journalists voting on the winners. With new categories like Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy or Television and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, the Globes are taking a leap to even more respectability and competition with the Oscars.

Variety’s Chief film critic Owen Gber gave us his predictions for the front runners, and it’s no surprise that “Barbie” is earning the most nominations this year. Could it be the front runner at the Golden Globes?

The Golden Globes are always unpredictable, and with the addition of new categories and changes to the voting process, this year’s awards show promises to be an exciting and entertaining event.

We also had the opportunity to speak with some of the nominees, including Matt Bomer, Julianne Moore, and Billy and Naomi from “The Morning Show.” They shared their excitement and the challenges of portraying their characters.
