What a hoot , my kind of adventure .
It’s so incredibly BEAUTIFUL down there! A small yacht like this is the perfect way to see it too. ❤
You are living my dream, have always wanted to go to Antarctica, but unlikely now. The penguins have no fear of people so present an awesome sight, and the 2 seals playing was fun. You are lucky to have been allowed on shore, what with all the rules and requlations. Look forward to the next installments.
Wow. This new adventure is one thing, but documentary style editing and sound/music is really really next level. This is amazing, thanks.
Fantastic vid guys truely epic
As one commenter said this video belongs on a big screen TV. This is an unforgettable adventure. I so love that brought us along.
And other fantastic video the scenery is amazing! The penguins of the penguins so cute! Then there are the seals. It looked like a father and son fighting for control of the rock, but neither one of them really wanted to win. They were just playing thank you again for sharing this. fantastic voyage you were on and sharing it with us.
Absolutely amazing! Excited for your next video❤
Unbelievable video, you guys doing a great job. For those of us that will not get to were you guys are, I thank you, living through you guys.
my great grandfather worked in grytviken on south georgia from 1918-1929. he has and crewed on the petrel on some trips as a machinist. the petrel is located on the shore of grytviken
An incredible adventure.
Epically beautiful footage. Just WOW!
I’m worried about you two, I hope everything is ok with you.
Why are you riding someone else’s boat exploring, when you have your own explorer?
The Antarctic has been on my list for 60 years. Flown all over the arctic (as a pilot) and maybe, just maybe make to the south also. Lovely episode.
I don't understand how someone can look at all that amazing beauty and wildlife and think it somehow happened randomly. Too amazing to be random!
You outdid yourselves with the editing and production of this video, just spectacular from the videography to the sweet piano music for the penguins. I love all of your content but I really enjoyed this professional production. Well done!
IIRC, one reason you made the switch from sail to power boat was to be able to cruise in extreme cold. Is Icebird making you rethink giving up Sail for a Power boat?
Been watching the latest series and I felt while you were on the shores by the warm water of the volcano that. I would never want to leave. Great footage and expedition.
Beautiful and those sunglasses r awesome.
Please share a list of the great you got for your personal comfort. Like your boots and all your clothing for this trip. TY in advance
IT'S NOT THE MACHINE IT'S THE MACHINIST WHO KNOWS HOW TO COMPENSATE FOR THE WEAR OF HIS OLD MACHINE
AS I WATCHED A 90 YEAR OLD PLUS MACHINIST USING HIS FATHER'S OLD MACHINES THAT WERE WELL OVER A HUNDRED YEARS OLD AND ONE OF HIS MACHINES WAS BUILT IN THE 1830S AND HE COULD STILL COMPENSATE AND GET PRECISION THOUSANDTH OF AN INCH OR BETTER POSITION

You should do a gear video! Clothing type of stuff.
It always amazes me how careless humans can be when curiosity takes over. We see warning signs, we understand the risks, and yet we still move toward danger as if experience alone is worth the cost. Time and time again, some of the worst disasters in history have come from people ignoring what was already clear.
What is even more unsettling is how often this behavior is not driven by necessity, but by the desire to say we did something. We chase extreme environments and dangerous places, not because we have to, but because we want to feel something, to prove something, or to validate our own sense of meaning.
There is a difference between exploration that advances knowledge and exploration that is done purely for thrill or attention. One pushes humanity forward, while the other often just puts lives at risk for a moment that may not even matter later.
It makes you wonder if our need to experience everything firsthand is really about growth, or if it is just another way we ignore limits until reality forces us to confront them.
What an amazing video! What an amazing Adventure! Loving every minute of it! Wonderful, now life time comraderies ❤
Wow. I'm just back from a month-long adventure sail to Antarctica, out of Ushuaia, on the 77' Vinson of Antarctica, 11 peeps. Crossed the Drake in Force 9, twice. Surprised we didn't cross paths with you, or did we? Feb 7-Mar 7, visited many of the same anchorages and sites. We also visited Deception when Barque Europa was anchored there. Were you able to enjoy the all-you-can-drink-vodka-hooch pub at Vernadsky? Our skipper has been down there multiple times, and even he was surprised at the amount of Humpbacks.
Walking around Deception Island and watching Elephant seals and penguins was truly an epic experience. The penguins are a very curious animal. It was wild to have a penguin walk by , stop and look you up and down. If only you to know what the heck it was thinking 🙂
I can’t wait to see more! 💙
Another fine adventure for the ages . Fun for Every Body
AN TAR TIC A not AN ARTIC A
Thank you for filming this. I may never step foot in Antarctica, but I got to catch a glimpse on the adventure because of you guys. Thanks a lot for that! And I can only imagine the feeling being on that boat with the other sailors you just met, singing together and sharing stories. What a life 🤩
Best episode!!
Why do you guys always feel a need to disturb the wildlife?? I don't care who else does it. The wildlife did NOT invite you to stomp all over their home. Leave them alone! You're being selfish and destructive. Be better humans! 😢
p.s. Washing your boots is not stopping you from transfering germs and bacteria from your lungs, your sitting on the ground and all the gear you keep setting on the ground. Your destroying nature for profit. 😢

I realize that you’re just making money, but as VPNs go, SurfShark isn’t all that good.

And you're right, you couldn't. But that's because those rules are designed to manage the impact of large groups of people, which makes complete sense when you're rotating a hundred visitors through a site. Icebird is classified as a yacht, fewer than 12 passengers, and operates under permits from the Australian government (where the boat is registered). We still follow every environmental protocol under the Antarctic Treaty, but with just a handful of us going ashore, the operation looks very different.
