In her exit interview with WSJ, Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan provided insight into her time at the helm of the FTC and what the future of antitrust enforcement may hold. Khan, known for her aggressive approach towards tackling monopolistic powers, reflected on the need for adjustments in this area.
One of the key topics discussed was the impact of the incoming Trump administration on big tech companies like Meta and Amazon. Khan emphasized the importance of closely monitoring these companies and ensuring fair competition in the market.
The conversation also touched upon the Microsoft-Activision case, highlighting the complexities of dealing with large mergers and acquisitions in the tech industry. Khan stressed the need for thorough scrutiny and regulation in such cases to prevent harmful monopolistic practices.
Throughout the interview, Khan reiterated the importance of using feedback from the public and stakeholders to inform decision-making at the FTC. She highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in antitrust enforcement efforts.
When asked about her proudest moment as FTC chair, Khan pointed to the progress made in regulating AI and addressing non-compete clauses. These issues are crucial in ensuring fair competition and innovation in the tech industry.
Looking ahead, Khan expressed concern about the continued trend of mergers and acquisitions activity in the tech sector. She emphasized the need for stricter oversight and enforcement measures to prevent further consolidation of power among big tech companies.
Overall, Khan’s exit interview shed light on the challenges and opportunities facing antitrust enforcement in the tech industry. Her tenure at the FTC may be coming to an end, but her impact on shaping the future of competition policy is likely to be long-lasting.

Hi
Nooo don't go
Thank you, Lina, for your service!
Finally, she is gone 🎉
“Facebook case that’s going to trial.” No wonder Zuckerberg has began to Ben Dover to Donny
I didn’t like anything she had to say! but I thought the questions were really good!
thank you lina 🥲
Thank you for doing nothing and failing every time.😂
This is like if Simba had an exit interview with the hyenas after Scar kicked out Mufasa.
Goodbye Lina. I have never seen someone who so underperformed in the job she was given. The job of the FTC is not regulate the labor market or stop all M&A. That is why she lost most of her cases.
Best FTC
All CEOs cozy up to whomever is in charge…nothing new
FTC is an independent entity but not corporates. They need permissions for mergers, acquisitions, price rise or down or keep it same. FTC = violations of private property in essence.
MNCs r partying right now.
Lina Khan is a legend! She has set the standard for future antitrust enforcement.
She is socialist
Billionairres Govern. They will make their rule permanent.
She is a Hero 🙌🏻

It’s an absolute crime that she’s not being kept with the FTC. She’s done an amazing job of holding companies accountable for predatory practices, stopping damaging mergers, and actually doing what the FTC was meant to do: protect the consumer.
TRUMP IS COMING !!!!!!!!!
TRUMP BABY 🎉
I don’t care if you are for or against trump. But if our Govt is not playing the role as referee for these corporations, we lose. This woman played her part valiantly
I tought she wanted to borrow $50 before I googled her.
You don't always need to 'intend' corruption. It's like biological rot– it just grows in any but the cleanest environments.
Line, don't you realize that alone Kroger and Albertsons will lose against HEB in TX, and then we will have a true monopoly? The FTC creates monopolies.
Go get a real job, so that you understand how business works in the real world.
Really wish she would've stayed
Next FTC chair: Elon Musk 😅
You were a legend Lina Khan!! Anyone with half a brain can understand that you put the time in to try and help the American people and actually uphold the letter of the law equally rather than the two tier justice system many of us have become apathetic to. I really hope that you're able to find high-quality employment after this that pays you what you're worth!!
Eggs. Egg producers are conspiring to keep prices high by limiting supply and LYING about the bird flu to explain it away. When there were 1000+ eggs producers in the U.S. supplying the entire country we NEVER had egg shortages. But now that just ONE company controls 70+% of the nation's egg supply suddenly egg shortages are routine. It doesn't take a genius to see what's actually happening.
