La Desirée Bela capgira el marc mental del públic recordant que el privilegi blanc és un «paquet invisible de beneficis no merescuts». Des de la seva pròpia experiència de dona racialitzada, convida a reconèixer-lo i posar-lo al servei de qui no el té, practicant l’antiracisme i assenyalant les injustícies. Desirée Bela-Lobedde és escriptora, formadora i divulgadora especialitzada en educació antiracista des d’una perspectiva afrocentrada. És autora de Ser mujer negra en España, Ponte a punto para el antirracismo i Color carn, entre altres obres, i ha prologat textos clau de referents com Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie o Reni Eddo-Lodge. Col•labora amb diversos mitjans, com RAC1 i Catalunya Ràdio, i forma part del grup internacional “Writers against Racism” de la UNESCO. Desirée treballa per transformar narratives, qüestionar privilegis i sembrar consciència crítica en cada espai que habita, des de l’escriptura fins a la formació.
