In this exciting food review show, Sonny takes us on a culinary journey to Essaouira, Morocco, where he explores Africa’s cheapest seafood market. From fresh oysters, sea urchins, and seafood ceviche to indulging in a delectable grilled blue lobster and monkfish tagine, Sonny immerses himself in the flavors of Moroccan cuisine.
One standout dish that catches his eye is the grilled blue lobster, but the price of $150 for a single lobster leaves him shocked. Sonny breaks down the process of preparing the lobster, from removing the digestive system to seasoning with a mouth-watering sauce before grilling. He questions whether the hefty price tag is justified for this luxurious seafood delicacy in Africa.
Join Sonny as he explores the vibrant seafood markets, tries unique dishes, and learns about the rich culinary traditions of Essaouira, Morocco. Watch as he savors every bite, interacts with locals, and shares his experiences in this exciting food vlog. Mohammed is handsome
Super cool ‼️📢🎉
Based from what I’ve seen in this show is that the key to zero waste of ingredients is the knowledge of different cultures around the world.
It's Lenten Season in the Phlippines . And I am on a 3-day, water only fast. But I can't resist watching your show. Thus, my hunger level just shot up 10x!
🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦❤
Excellent
I truly hope that cameraman gets his fill of that lobster.
It's not good to eat oysters that are setting in the sun with no ice
Those prices are only for Americans i bet the locals don't pay that
I really enjoyed this video ❤❤
It is not good idea to boil lively animal
If someone doesn’t want to be filmed and you record them anyway—especially if you publish the video on YouTube without their consent—you can get into serious legal trouble, both in Europe and the USA, In Morocco, the rules about filming people without consent are less well-defined than in the EU or USA, but you can still get into legal and social trouble if you record or publish someone’s image against their will. It is illegal to take or share someone's photo or video without their knowledge and consent, especially:
– If the person is in a private space (home, office, etc.)
– If the image is damaging, offensive, or used to embarrass or harm them
Article 447 of the Moroccan Penal Code criminalizes:
– Using or sharing personal data, photos, or videos without consent
– Penalties include fines and prison (from 6 months to 3 years) depending on the case
In Morocco, many people are very sensitive about being filmed — especially in rural areas, among women, or during religious/cultural events.
Even if you're in a public place, it's polite and often necessary to:
– Ask before filming
– Respect a "no" if someone refuses
– Blur faces or avoid close-ups of strangers without consent
I really enjoyed this video ❤❤
why is a muslim using kosher salt? lol – and if that monkfish liver is a sea-food faux-fois gras delicacy, why did you not have the other chef retrieve and cook it?
I really enjoyed this video ❤❤
Moroccans don't feel comfortable being filmed cause we aren't used to it not because they think ur profiting of them the guys who yelled at you were telling you to tell them to get of the frame at least if u wanted to film
My family is from AC, New Jersey and seafood is huge up that way. We'd go to the Asian market and get fresh, live crab, different types. Fill a huge pot with water, malt liquor, and Ole Bay seasoning……uhm uhm uhm, delicious!!
Say what? Morocco is known for good Za🍃 too? 🥴🤣
Western Sahara included on the map of Morocco?
Maybe just ask for permission 🤔😛 , I would hate being filmed, love the show 😊

Love your channel, and you Sonny, but watching you cook things alive is getting a bit much. Perhapps a warning label on the video or something.

@sonny @besteverfoodreviewshow do you vomit between meals so that you can eat again? You eat more in one meal than I eat all day. How do you stay so thin!?
I'm so jealous
Sonny's a good husband.

Argan oil is only found in Morocco.
I love watching the end of the video, you and Mohammed it's so funny😂
Correction:
Lebanon is not a Muslim country
You made me so hungry with that juicy lobster 🦞 😋
Yummy food.
I'm half Italian half Moroccan and I've never known that one of my absolute favorite dishes (which are hundreds of Moroccan and Italian dishes ..) is that 'ugly and scary' monkfish and veggies tagine. Moroccans please help me, is the monkfish = الفرخ !!!! That's what's called in Casablanca and Rabat regions.
Also, Argan tree is originated from Morocco, Agadir region .. it's not even in all of Morocco so even other regions or countries try to plant the tree, it doesn't work for them. So Argan oil is from Agadir city produced to the whole world for food and cosmetics
He threw away the liver 😂😂😂
Ironically they were/are benefiting…. their city is getting international exposure, good for economy/business…
i’m eating pancakes and sausage while eating this and it’s making me depressed
This video feels like it can be on tv
