Sunny warm cheap, that's Gabriel's criteria for travel destination😝
That is a fleur de lis, not a Boy Scout symbol
Hats off in the Church, bud.
Im going to Thailand march 24th im so excited
That last little street in Versailles toward the end of the video. That to me is perfect urbanism. Those are the type of streets that make me hate living in the US where everything is car-dependent, no cute cozy pedestrian streets to wonder in with nice classical architecture. Just sprawl, big highways, massive parking lots and big trucks. That little corner of Versailles is how I wish I could live.
Gabe, I can't thank you enough for taking us through the Castle of Versailles! Wow, it is absolutely stunning; I ADORE museums, so I'm sure I would love it in person! I don't know if I'll ever be able to travel to France, so this is the next best thing.
What a cute little street, with the market and all the restaurants and shops! There's a look to the architecture of the buildings and the atmosphere that is so unmistakably French.
I hope you end up staying in France longer, and it would be nice to see some of the smaller towns. 😊
WOW… me likey this city!!! The palace is awesome!!! 💙🤍❤ Au revoir!!!
While in Paris, stay in the 3rd or 4th and check out Notre Dame. The restoration job is very well done
Gabriel for the light coming off the painting use a Polaroid lens or if you have Polaroid sunglasses use them it eliminates glare
Palace of Versaille is a must visit 👍 went here in the winter of 2003….and yes the temp was 7 degrees…
Gabe are you a human or a other being, let us know, thank you!
You should check out Les Frenchies YouTubers who live in Paris. Everything you need to know or want to know they can tell youas they live there. Also you should try & get merino wool as a base layer & you will stay warm(expensive but they have sales & if you start with a t-shirt you will be thankful)
Talking about your flights and plans – you walked past a building With Your Name on it- Gabriel
The ‘boyscout’ symbol? You mean the Fleur de Lis? The most iconic French symbol ever?
MOST EXCELLENT VIDEO THANK YOU GABRIEL TRAVELER
Because your spirit of discovering new countries has left you. Cape Varde was a good start but we need to see more. You had the perfect opportunity to visit Senegal which allows visa free entry for Americans for 90 days. Direct flights from Cape Varde, 2hr flight to Dakar and flight prices are reasonable.
Great pop-up video in an amazing place! Like getting a sudden surprise gift. Thinking there are so many villages and smalls cities to drop into for a day or two off-season in Europe that are near large airports. Versailles is a wonderful choice. And no lack of cafes to take refuge if the weather isn't cooperating.
Disney?
i noticed u moving your camera all over the place towards the end of video, kinda makes you dizzy
I went to Paris several times I don’t think it’s overly touristy. Versailles would be and I would have no interest in going. Time is limited for most of us. Be safe be careful be happy. Regards Mike .
Oh, I went to Paris during Christmas week many years ago and it completely ruined my trip the weather. It was before the Internet. I had no idea. Paris was cold. It was so cold. We had every type of precipitation. I could barely go out. I only brought a leather jacket. I was a fool. It was a waste of money lots of money I would not recommend going to Paris in the winter. I’m in Chicago. I can handle cold weather, but that was damp and miserable.
Haha I a done with looking at churches in Europe. Next trip I am going to say no, ha. Does anyone feel that way.
The gardens are really nice
Thank you for this video! I adore France and the French culture. The visit of the Palace is a an aesthetic experience! Mind the cold!
LOL. In 1990 I was in those places you referenced during your 1990 trek: Ireland, Le Havre, Paris, Corfu, South of France and I came back to Paris to spend 6 months on a Peniche (houseboat) near the Eiffel Tower while working "odd" jobs there. The houseboat was fantastic except in winter when the pipes kept freezing, despite insulating them, etc, but Paris is great, even in the winter, especially if there's just snow and not ice and slosh in the streets. Bon Voyage, Gabriel 💫💫
I’d love to visit this spot someday, mostly for the gardens. Ha, I wonder if I’m the only traveler (over 35 countries) who has absolutely no desire to ever see the Eiffel Tower 😂
I believe there were multiple significant migrations of Japanese to Peru starting in the late 1800’s to work on plantations
I live in Versailles,😮 i have missed you 😢 , another Time maybe
Greetings Gabriel hope you are having a great day and I always enjoy your videos. And I noticed earlier in the video around 4:15 that you passed a place called Optique R. Gabriel, how cool is that they named an eyeglass store after you 😅. And also my great grandfather's name was Gabriel and I have lots of other Gabriel's in my family. Keep up the good work my amigo
Looking forward to your next destination – hope it's not anymore Greek Islands?
There is good reason Versailles is so packed with tourists. It's spectacular. You missed seeing the living quarters … and across the road is the equestrian side with all the carriages – amazing! I had the place all to myself 🙂
don't go to Paris on Valentine's day expecting it to be empty
It is versales English pronunciation!
Just like Champs Elissys is just that in English!
Why spell it one thing and say another, why not spell it Versai or something similar?
Just joking sorry!
