What do you think is the biggest obstacle for Terafab: the $119B investment, advanced chip manufacturing, power requirements, or competing with established semiconductor foundries?
$119B is an enormous investment. I’d like to understand how much of that figure is officially committed versus a projected cost for the full Terafab vision.
I’d be careful about calling Terafab a game changer before production begins. The concept is impressive, but execution, chip yields, and manufacturing costs will determine whether it succeeds.
The power infrastructure is an underrated challenge here. A facility this ambitious would need reliable electricity, cooling, specialized equipment, and a highly skilled workforce.
Even if Terafab produces powerful AI chips, how long would it take to reach competitive manufacturing yields? Semiconductor production is a lot more complicated than building a factory.
The idea of Tesla controlling more of its own chip supply makes sense, especially with AI, Optimus, and Cybercab all potentially competing for computing resources. The hard part is making it work at scale.
Intel’s potential involvement is interesting. Building advanced chips requires a completely different skill set from designing them, so the partnerships could be just as important as Tesla’s own technology.
AI5 and AI6 could be important for FSD and Optimus, but I’m curious how much performance improvement users would actually notice in the real world.
If I find 1 lie, that my little brain can comprehend, is the entire video a lie? 18:45 – 19:05 in a conventional diesel truck, the heat from the engine is used to heat the cab, and this is accomplished through a 100 year old technology known as the "Heater Core".
Efficiency, reliability and smooth powerful power train with money saving regen braking.Operator friendly over hot, dangerous, inefficient diesel trucks.
This is wall why I purchased some SPCX stock.
The cargo container attached to the semi should be made with solar panel tech , it can further increase the lenght of travel between recharges
CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆
Hugh congratulations to Musk and the Tesla team! 🏅
Elon already ruled out tsmc running it most likely just sub contract production space in exchange for knowledge and assessment
TSMC's industry-leading yields are driven by its deep manufacturing expertise. This mastery extends from front-end fabrication (wafer-fab yield) to the precise thermal and timing controls required in back-end advanced packaging and HBM integration on CoWoS platforms.
Elon!
I'm seeing all the latest news about your achievements.
I loved that they have finally formally recognized your unparalleled and historic achievements, just as you are.
I thought, the possibility that those production plants could perhaps be easily dismantled and then reinstalled on the Moon or Mars. I'm talking about the materials used in architecture, which has surprised me.
Thank you for your attention and your new phone company. Soon I'll be able to have a Tesla phone, which would be less vulnerable to hackers. Blessings to you, your family, and your good and trustworthy friends.
Kisses E.

i want to know where all the ingots are going to come from to make these millions upon millions of chips/processors?
Elon has gotten so successful that he has lost his mind.
That claim he made that in ten years, by the year 2036, money would lose its meaning, is insanity, and a claim that in a few years they would build 100 million robots a year is another foolishness.
Just look at the development of these robots, after several years, they are still nothing but clumsy and utterly useless expensive pieces of metal and plastic when it comes to the real-world workforce. And he thinks and all you need is another few years, and voila! They would get super sophisticated and would begin to replace humans in workplaces? This is sad about what has happened to him.
It doesn’t have enough AI5 chips? It doesn’t have any
