Rescuers in Sudan report airstrike in Khartoum market killed 23: Catastrophic situation, says FRANCE 24

A horrific airstrike in a market in Khartoum, Sudan has left at least 23 people dead, according to a Sudanese network of volunteer rescuers. The attack, carried out by the military, occurred near one of the main camps in the capital where the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been engaged in a civil war that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands.

The violence in Khartoum has escalated in recent days, with fierce fighting erupting around the city. The military has been targeting the center and south of Khartoum from the air, leading to widespread destruction and loss of life.

The situation in Sudan remains dire, with continual clashes between different factions further exacerbating the already fragile state of the country. The international community must step in to help bring an end to the violence and work towards a peaceful resolution that will spare the lives of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
