I remember Beef Steak Charlie’s back in the day was a popular steak house there wonder if it’s still a steakhouse in Rego Park
I drove through here again early this year going to Queens Center Mall again after having not been there for at least 15 years. It's always a stressful place to drive, Rego, Forest Hills,
Queens Blvd. is a nightmare. It was fun going to the mall again, which seems to be thriving, but I was also glad to later get out of there in one piece. Also parking at the mall is
not free, gotta pay the machine for a few hours of course. I used to live in Rego Park for a few years but never had a car, and I was glad. Just walked from R Train and Queens Blvd.
everywhere and home.
I got my first DVD player in 1999 at Rego Center at Circuit City, which is long gone now of course. I was very excited to walk it home, connect it to my tiny Magnavox TV, and
play movies. LOL I had Time Warner Cable though too. I recall going to CompUSA a few times to get various stuff. on Queens Blvd. The Wiz was still there on Queens Blvd.
when I first moved to Rego Park, and that place was great. Bought some Walkmans headphones and some music there.
I didn't realize the Tower Diner closed a few years ago, but I think the Georgia Diner is still on the Blvd. somewhere. That 50s diner that used to be across from Rego Center or the mall
I think closed down. It wasn't that good.
Dad drove you to Astoria Queens from Forest Hills while taking Queens Blvd and Steinway St Action Kid!😎 Maybe with your dad, he'll help you drive there if you're still injured in no time!😏😀😅🤭 Thanks for the driving video AK!🤗😌😊🥹
My favorite Entenmann's cake as a kid and teen was the famed black and white icing squared yellow cake, with a maraschino cherry in the middle or corner. OMG! Too good. Pure sugar happiness. And the Halloween special cupcakes with the candy corn on top. Man.
