Israeli air strikes target central and southern regions of Lebanon

Israeli forces conducted air strikes in various parts of Lebanon on Sunday, targeting Hezbollah sites in Baalbek. The attacks resulted in a residential area in the coastal city of Sidon being hit, leaving civilians trapped under the rubble of damaged buildings. Additionally, strikes near the Tebnine Governmental Hospital in Nabatieh further south added to the tension in the region.

Forced evacuation warnings were issued in the eastern Bekaa Valley region by the Israeli army, heightening fears of escalating conflict. The strikes in Sidon and Nabatieh have raised concerns about the impact on innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford reported on the attacks from the capital, Beirut, shedding light on the aftermath of the strikes in Sidon. The clashes between Israel and Hezbollah have once again brought the long-standing tensions between the two sides to the forefront, with both sides engaging in military actions that threaten to further destabilize the region.

As the situation in Southern Lebanon escalates, there are growing concerns about the potential for further clashes between Israel and Hezbollah. The international community is closely monitoring the developments in the region in hopes of preventing an all-out war between the two sides.
