Hezbollah, the militant group based in Lebanon, remains defiant despite the ceasefire agreement. However, for now, the focus is on the streets of Beirut where the sound of celebratory gunfire can be heard, along with cheers and chants of victory.
The ceasefire, which has lasted nearly 24 hours, is a welcome respite for the people of Lebanon who have been living in fear and uncertainty during the recent conflict. Shops and businesses have reopened, and families are beginning to venture out of their homes once again.
