The wildfires raging outside of the Pacific Palisades have left families in a state of uncertainty as they wait in long lines for hours to find out if their homes have been spared by the flames. The Eaton and Palisades fires have wreaked havoc on the region, with fire crews making some progress in containment over the weekend. However, with winds expected to pick up once again, the fire danger remains high.
Despite the devastation caused by the fires, some families have found solace in their faith. Houses of worship across Los Angeles have been destroyed, but worshippers are finding ways to come together, singing, praying, and finding comfort in their communities. In the midst of chaos and loss, these acts of faith and unity offer a glimmer of hope for those affected by the fires.
NBC News reporters Tom Llamas, Ellison Barber, and Morgan Cheeks have been on the ground to capture the stories of these families as they navigate the uncertainty and devastation caused by the wildfires. As the fires continue to rage on, the resilience and faith of these communities serve as a powerful reminder of the strength that can be found in coming together in times of crisis.

This could have been prevented. Just so sad. Save a penny costs a dollar and much more.
Repent and pray and ask for forgiveness. God is so forgiving.
I thought at one time we had the ability to make it rain.
No, you're not caddalac recording me.
I understand the frustration, but it's so important for people to stay out of those dangerous places. So many sharp objects, glass shards you not may see because it's coated with powdery ash, potential live wires, items within the rubble that are still hot at their core and you don't know. I received serious burns on my hand picking up something after a fire, that did not indicate in any way the core of that item was molten hot. Downed power lines, the toxic substances that are unsafe for our skin and our lungs are so dangerous. It's important to stay away, and we know that in our head, but our heart wants to go to our home to salvage what we can, find our pets or their remains, maybe experience the relief of finding our home intact, but it's just not safe. Not yet anyway. My heart is always with my hometown, especially during this terrible tragedy. Prayers for everyone's safety as the fires still burn and while they're trying to clean up.
You are the United States of America…one would think that the rest of the states should've been there by now assisting the state in crisis. Where's the unity?

Corporate media is always pushing organized religion down our throats.
It's gonna take time to rebuild our city but by grace of God we will make it through.
