Leaving Yemen in an Unexpected Way: A Farewell to Paradise
In the final episode of my journey through Yemen, I embark on a heartwarming adventure that defies expectations. As I set sail on a small boat toward a secluded beach, I’m filled with a sense of anticipation. Little did I know that this excursion would serve as a mesmerizing farewell to this extraordinary land.
Arriving at the deserted shore, I am greeted by an awe-inspiring spectacle—marine creatures dancing through the crystal-clear waters in numbers I have never witnessed before. Each wave seems to echo the beauty and resilience of Yemen, leaving me with unforgettable memories as I say goodbye to this enchanting island.
Throughout my travels, I have come to appreciate the strength and compassion of those working tirelessly to make a difference in Yemen. Mona Relief, led by the indefatigable Fatik Alrodaini, stands as a beacon of hope, offering support to families and children in need. As I prepare to close this chapter, I feel compelled to reflect on the journey I’ve taken and the incredible people I’ve met along the way.
Join me as I embrace this unexpected conclusion to my time in Yemen, celebrating the magic of the marine world and cherishing a heart full of gratitude for this beautiful country.

Yemeni people prove over and over again that they are the kindest and most generous!

You say Socotra is an unreal place, Noraly, which it is. But the real "unreal" is YOU! Yes, and I mean that in a very positive manner. You are part of an elite group, especially women, who are doing breakaway adventures for us sedentary peasants to watch and enjoy. Thank you for your adventures and work to present them. They are great stuff. ..:-)🙂

Love all the comments , if only some of our world leaders would just chill out and travel the world a bit without their entourage and meet people and see the wonderful natural world we live in !!
pray safe for Yemen
"O, people! We created you from a male and a female, and We made you races and tribes, so that you may come to know one another"

Thank you sooo much for these beautiful videos from/of Socotra! We have this amazing Island on my bucket list since more than 10 years now, but me and my friends are not YES Theory or Itchy boots, just a handful of ordinary men and women from europe and the requirements, planning, cost(s) and paperwork we would have to go through are really extraordinary.😟We never expected this trip to be easy, but at the end of the day we still hesitate to put so much effort into a trip to a beautiful island where we can´t travel the way we want/like, need some "guides" that follow us everywhere and our wifes/girlfriends have to wear hijabs when getting into contact with locals. We are totally open minded and open to new experiences, food, people, deserts, jungles and even icy landscapes, but we don´t wanna adjust/trade our clothes, travel plans and beliefs to a society/religion that treats other religions/women/beliefs like sh*t and pay thousands of dollars to do it! Don´t get me wrong: All this is debatable and doable when visiting a temple, mosque, cemetary, festivity, ceremony etc! We have travelled lots of countries in different parts of the world and were always able to adjust to the different cultures and respect their holy places!
But Yemen, like north korea, a small province in the outskirts of china or some areas in pakistan or Afghanistan are a totally different kind of beast!
Nevertheless: WHAT A GREAT, POSITIVE AND ENTERTAINING VIDEO!!!
Thumbs up as always and thanks for the upload!!!❤
Nice camera, super sharp resolution.
Until you introduced me to Yemen, I imagined it as a war torn zone of fierce war lords implacably hating the West. Thank you for opening my eyes to an alternative picture. The images of so many dolphins was timeless and very moving.
You'd never catch Putin doing something like this.
The braviest woman I have ever seen,a woman of endless wonders
Wonderful and those DOLPHINS were incredible to watch
Sucotra should be preserved just like Galapagos island
What a discovery, it’s like visiting earth before humans ruined it. I have never seen such crystal clear waters anywhere in the world and it’s not standing lake water.
I learned much about Yemen from you. Very interesting.
U deserve an award for your coverage on this sacred place
Can we have some prices please, like guide hire, motorcycle hire and hotel and food prices?
That was some beautiful Drone Footage from the boat very much enjoyed that what a beautiful Ireland thank you for sharing**😎👌🌍✌️
What can I say, Noraly? That outfit at the end looked amazing on you. That bright colors highlighted your beautiful eyes and the warm smile that you give to all the people you meet on your travels, and inevitably they become and feel like your friends, just like all of us, those you welcomed to travel with you to all those wonderful places. We're all so grateful, thanks you Noraly!
THE DOLPHINS MUST HAVE KNOWN THAT NORALY IS ON THE BOAT,AND THEY ARE JUST SO HAPPY❤❤❤

This series has been revelatory! It has turned my understanding of this part of Arabia and its peoples and culture upside-down. Such positivity from all you met gives one hope for the future. Thanks for opening my eyes.
It’s time to have two kids 😂 and go finish your PhD, this chapter of global exploration you have fulfilled. Wishing you well in all your future endeavours.
