Maison Margiela: Haute Couture Fall Winter 2025/2026 – A Symphony of Deconstruction and Artistry
As the curtains rise on Paris Haute Couture Week, Maison Margiela unveils its Fall Winter 2025/2026 collection, a masterclass in the delicate dance between artistry and fashion under the visionary direction of Glenn Martens. The show, aptly titled “Artisanal,” invites the audience into a world where deconstruction meets innovation, and where each garment tells a story of transformation and reimagining.
A Canvas of Contrasts
This collection is a striking exploration of forms and textures, capturing the essence of Margiela’s avant-garde legacy while introducing contemporary interpretations that resonate with today’s fashion landscape. The runway becomes a canvas for contrasts — oversized silhouettes juxtaposed with finely tailored pieces create a dialogue that is both bold and nuanced. Martens’s keen eye for detail is evident in the intricate layering and unexpected fabric pairings that redefine traditional couture techniques.
Textural Journeys
The use of materials in this collection is particularly noteworthy. Rich velvets are intertwined with sheer organzas, while distressed denim and metallic threads bring a modern edge to classic silhouettes. This tactile approach not only showcases craftsmanship but also invites viewers to engage with the garments on a sensory level. The meticulous attention to draping enhances the fluidity of movement, allowing each piece to breathe and evolve as the models walk the runway.
Transformative Statements
A hallmark of Margiela’s ethos is the ability to transform everyday concepts into high art. In this collection, Martens challenges perceptions with garments that play with notions of identity and social constructs. Pieces that appear fragmented and disjointed challenge the norms of perfection often associated with haute couture, encouraging a dialogue about the beauty found in imperfection and authenticity.
The Soundtrack of Emotion
Accompanying this visual feast is a carefully curated soundtrack, featuring tracks like “The Unwinding” by Ben Bromfield and “Citadel of the Fallen” by Paul Dinletir, which amplify the emotional depth of the show. The music enhances the ethereal quality of the experience, guiding the audience through a journey that is as much about feeling as it is about fashion.
Conclusion: A Tribute to the Avant-Garde
Maison Margiela’s Haute Couture Fall Winter 2025/2026 collection is not just a fashion statement; it is a tribute to art and individuality. Martens successfully navigates the delicate balance between the avant-garde and wearable art, crafting a narrative that speaks to the heart of what Maison Margiela represents. As the show concludes, attendees are left to ponder the myriad stories woven into each piece, encapsulating the spirit of curiosity and discovery that defines this exquisite collection.
In a world where fashion often rushes toward the next trend, Margiela stands as a reminder of the power of thoughtful design and artistic expression. This collection may well be a pivotal moment in the ongoing evolution of haute couture, echoing the house’s commitment to pushing boundaries and reimagining the future of fashion.

Прекрасная , уважительная дань творчеству Мартана 👏👏👏
Sorry!
I don' t get
STANDING OVATION FROM MY LAPTOP!!!!
Aburrido, especialmente la última parte del show, la mayoría son prendas muy sencillas, con tejidos y acabados incomprensibles e innecesarios. No tiene sentido hacer una colección de alta costura con estas cosas, y con esas máscaras.
Why are they naked!!?
Qual a última música ?
Insane ❤❤❤❤❤ really beautiful
Oh – my – god.
I'vent seen anything this good in fashion since Galliano's collection for Margiela.
Bravo!
Wow, what a show, what a collection and what a début that was ! It felt equal parts a breath of fresh air and a return to the Maison’s roots. The command of colour and the play on textures were otherworldly. The references were bold and hit true – I especially loved the take on the famous Dior Haute Couture by Galliano SS 2004 dress (as seen at 4:20) as it is not an easy one to take on and that was masterfully done. (Also the fingers dipped in red paint were such an elegant and clever nod to Martin Margiela's own début !) Best compliments to everyone involved in the making of this collection !
I CANT. EVERYTHING IS SO BEAUTUFUL

I'm so tired of being pressured to see clothes like these as intellectual fashion!
Get real kids, it's just plain stupid!
Like Scarlet O'Hara's curtain dress on the Carol Burnett show.
I do know it's for publicity, but c'mon, all that money????
Glenn Martin the man you are. Absolutely incredible haunting debut
What is this 😮
This defiant show compels us to redefine value in a world chasing fleeting trends.
Phenomenal- incredible debut that honors the legacy of MM while showing a path forward.

Bad taste of sound😢
Gran debut, muy Margiela. Realmente los que se quejan no conocen mucho sobre la historia de la Maison
I want Galliano back 😭
Some of those face masks are giving ElisaSue reallness! My favourite was the Quality Street coat. JK I adore MM ❤. The grey jumpsuit and the heavily jewelled jacket were exquisite ❤
Now THIS is is how you make an introduction worth remembering, wow!!!
Glenn, we are so proud of you ❤ I am sobbing
Not a bad first showing! Better than I was expecting to be fair and a good continuation After the God (Galiano) stepped away. I'd say a good tribute to both Margiela and Galiano. Getting Scattered thoughts, Distant images, a bit of sex mixed with objectivity. And There is Definitely AI being used literally and figuratively imo
Finally, fresh air. The manipulation of the textiles is amazing. Thank you for sharing your gift and nurturing our imagination and creativity.
