In her engaging TEDx talk, “The Basics of Budgeting, Saving and Investing for Young Adults,” Yashvi Gangar challenges young audiences to rethink their approach to money management. Drawing from her childhood obsession with sticker trading, Yashvi illustrates how managing money is akin to caring for collectibles—if left unused, they lose their value. With insights gained from her family’s experiences, she advocates for a proactive attitude towards financial literacy.
Yashvi emphasizes three key principles: budgeting effectively, investing wisely, and saving for future needs. She introduces practical strategies, like the “50-30-20 rule” and the power of compound interest, showcasing how young adults can build wealth through informed decisions. Citing examples from her own life and the entrepreneurial spirit of her grandmother, she offers a relatable and motivational framework.
Ultimately, Yashvi encourages her peers to act—prioritizing education and investment over hesitation and fear. Her message is clear: understanding money management is not just a skill but a vital foundation for achieving future dreams. With humor and depth, she inspires a generation to make money work for them.
