At the age of 14, Agustina became a mother. The news unleashed an emotional storm, and she believed it would destroy everything she had dreamed of for her life. Her mind echoed with relentless predictions: “You’ve ruined your life.” “No one will ever love you.” “You’ve brought shame to your family.” None of those predictions came true. In this talk, Agustina explores how the stories our minds tell us about the future are often far more catastrophic than reality itself. Through her own journey, she invites us to question fear, challenge our inner narratives, and discover that our future is rarely defined by our darkest expectations.
Agustina Gómez is an accountant based in Sunchales, Argentina. She loves pasta in all its forms and enjoys two very different hobbies: baking and aerial acrobatics.
Becoming a mother at the age of 14 could have changed the course of her life, but Agustina refused to let it define her future.
