Climbing Skiddaw: An Adventure in the Lake District

In this engaging vlog, we kick off our adventure at Gale Road, where we share tips on where to park for a seamless start. The climb promises stunning views and rich experiences, taking about 3-4 hours as we ascend through breathtaking landscapes.
Throughout the hike, we discuss essential packing tips and draw comparisons with other famous climbs like Scafell Pike and Helvellyn. The journey features a few unexpected surprises, including two false peaks, but our spirits soar as we finally reach the summit. The views from the top are nothing short of spectacular, offering a true sense of accomplishment.
After descending, we treat ourselves to a well-deserved lunch before heading to our accommodation for a restful night at the Beech Hill Hotel and Spa near Windermere. With a gorgeous view of Lake Windermere from our room, we unwind in the hotel spa, soaking in the hot tub to soothe our tired legs. Dinner at the hotel rounds off our day, although our breakfast experience the next morning leaves something to be desired.
On our way home, we stop by the Westmorland Farm Shop at Tebay Services. This delightful detour showcases a variety of local produce, including baked goods and artisanal meats, making it a must-visit destination.
