I love how these people try to do these 60 minute interviews as they leave congress. Ben Sasse did the same a couple months ago. They try to wash their hands of the filth as they leave office.
Trump and his minions are way, way past their sell dates; and way, way OVERDUE for their cell dates.
What a coward. History won't be kind
I was able to withstand just under 5 minutes of this blatant hypocrisy. He enabled trump every step of the way, confirmed the very people he now claims weren't qualified, voted not to impeach and now wants public exoneration. He may not be guilty of a crime but he's responsible for the damn mess!
Tillis talks a good game, but voted yes on everything. What is he talking about now. Also the impeachment was not rushed in my opinion, he only had days left in office.
Ok call BS let me guess he's retiring so now he'll speak out worried about how history will view him
He refused to provide the check on executive power, but he now wants to dazzle us with "whataboutism." History will not judge him or his co-conspirators kindly.
I have mixed feelings about Tillis but he, like so many politicians see their position as a job instead of a privilege. He talks a big talk about the insurrection and Trump appointees but confirms them all. They should put him in the "too little too late" corner with McConnell.
F*** him for remaining silent this long. Where's the rest of congress, where is the Supreme court, people should be shouting from the hilltops that this is the most Relentless assault on checks and balances that has ever occurred in history, and that the US form of government has never been under greater threat
See BS Softball
Why haven’t you warned all of us on how Dangerous Russell Vought is and what they are planning after the mid terms?????
Tom Tillis, like the rest of maga politicians, finds his spine and conscience only when Trump launches him out of the circle.
The usual.
NO 🚫 EXCUSES…you don't have to bow down to Trump anymore so come CLEAN with the TRUTH Trump destroyed the Republican & now he's destroying our 🇺🇸 country !!!
All of these republicans are sad.
I truly consider senator Tillis a honorable senator ,that has nothing to be ashamed of.
This is just Free Republic pablum.
The truth of the matter is to me I’m from North Carolina. Tom Tillis is never done anything for us that he did not prosper from. He’s a Coke man. I voted for him the first time, but I did not vote for him anytime after that. It was pretty clear while he was there. He talked the same rhetoric as well. He’s made tons of money off of us, American citizens, inside trading, etc., etc. but it is funny to me. Donald Trump got him elected his last run. He’s almost like a Nick Rami worst kind of rhino.
Why did you vote yes to confirm Todd Blanche? Didn’t you see the deception coming?
Love these riotous courageous politicians, being so only on the way out. Talk about making your cake and eating it too. Thank you brave hero!
Sorry Tillis that's what the Democrats do also !!! Mitch sucks !!;
Don't use the president as an excuse for doing nothing !!! Useless !!!
Although your well intentioned you guys got nothing done . Give us the house give us the senate,we did and you got nothing done !!!
I can't believe he is making money off of his hypocrisy. Well, maybe I can. He voted with Trump over 95% of the time. And now, he wants to write a book to say he regrets it? Where was his backbone during those ridiculous confirmation hearings? No, you don't get to say "I regret this" just to make money when you are no longer "scared" of speaking up. I am a fellow North Carolinian and I've been very embarrassed to watch his spineless behavior when it came to Trump. Way to speak up now Thom. And I hope you feel good way down deep inside knowing you enabled that awful president.
This dude is trying to run for president and he’ll get completely whooped!
Sorry but he has been a COWARD more often than he has been brave,
With everyone involved after 2015, they knew he was an uncomfortable clown that would put them in power. They traded decency for power.
Don’t forget that he was like Speaker of the NC House, so he knows what legislative procedures can do to make any agenda succeed or fail.
Registered Republican since 1984, already voted by mail, first time all 💙 in Florida. I really hope Florida turns blue until MAGA is gone!
More performative GOP BS. It’s easy now to say you regret Hegseth, eh Senator? You’re so bold and a “maverick”! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gee, Tom you should have had the balls to stand up like this when you actually had the power to do so. Not on the way out. 🐓
His book is bombing and not for nothing.
He is not a hero, a coward who is trying to re-invent himself towards a new career post-senate!
He will go down with the Ship
He is such a slick, two faced typical politician, his actions speak louder than his work. And his action say that he is a coward and will take no action back up what he includes media interviews
Mr. Tillis if you can't see the way the 2020 election was stolen in so many ways…, Jan 6th was democrats coup.
This guy could enable so much good to happen in our country but in the end he's just too in love with himself to enable a greater good.
This guy had a chance to do something about Trump. When Trump basically pushed him out of office, he still had the opportunity to do the right thing. Writing a book doesn’t do anything to expel this fraud of a president from the White House. Just another self serving Republican who had hopes of becoming Trump’s new lap dog after the sudden death of Lindsey Graham. Even in the face of Trump’s disloyalty to him. MAGA needs to realize this isn’t good old fashioned party loyalty anymore. Trump is willing to ruin anyone who doesn’t go. along with him about anything. This guy acknowledges the fact that January 6th was a disservice to OUR political process, but is unwilling to hold Trump accountable.
Tillis talk does not match his F'n confirmation votes. He is two faced AF!
The biggest cojones appear on the guy walking out the door…
