The Gallerist: A Thrilling Dive into the Art World’s Dark Side
Scheduled for a theatrical release on December 4, 2026, The Gallerist emerges as a captivating blend of suspense and dark humor, helmed by a visionary director yet to be revealed. The film stars Jenna Ortega as the ambitious gallery owner, accompanied by powerhouse performances from Natalie Portman and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Set amidst the dazzling backdrop of Art Basel Miami, the narrative thrusts viewers into the world of high-stakes art dealings and elite social circles. Ortega’s character is reeling from a bitter separation and grappling with serious financial troubles. In a moment of desperation, she stumbles into an audacious plan: passing off an accidental corpse as the centerpiece of her gallery’s debut exhibition.
What unfolds is a frenetic series of events, blurring the lines between art and reality as influencers and law enforcement descend upon the scene. This unconventional and twisted plot poses the provocative question: Can one achieve fame through infamy, or will the artist-turned-criminal find herself in deeper trouble?
The Gallerist promises to be a masterclass in tension and wit, exploring themes of ambition, deception, and the nature of fame in contemporary society. Audiences can expect a riveting blend of thrills and commentary on the often absurdities inherent in the art world, all while keeping them guessing until the final frame. With an enticing premise and a stellar cast, this film is poised to be one of the most talked-about releases of 2026.

This looks insanely stupid
So, velvet buzzsaw
Well that, Well that, Well that, Well that: hmm 1. I hate "modern Art" 2. I love "new art". or "I'm an Artist, and I'm sensitive about my ish"~ Erykah Badu
Great photography – every light used. Pass
I try to avoid trailers these days because they show way too much of what’s going to happen in the movie, revealing and ruining so much of the fun. And many people seem to like that even though it’s absolutely horrible. But when this trailer popped up, for some reason I didn’t think they would do it this time, I don’t know why, but I really thought they wouldn’t, so I watched it. And they did it.
Anyone who hasn’t watched the trailer yet and is planning on seeing the movie I would advise you to not watch the trailer and avoid it … however good or bad the movie is, you’ll at least have some fun and entertainment in the surprise of finding out the things that happen in this trailer.
I know it’s not anything new at this point, and I know it’s not a big deal, but it really is incredibly shitty and it really is baffling that so many people seem to like it. It’s one of those things we’ve gotten used to, but I’m just venting and pointing out how incredibly shitty it is
This trailer could have been good and would have made me want to see the movie if they just didn't give away the ENTIRE plotline. All they'd have had to do is set the scene and then show a vague "shit goes down" montage. Like the bathroom scene where Jenna says "We might be going to jail" would be fine, it doesn't spoil anything! I mean come on we should NOT know that the main influencer guy dies and people think its art and they try to sell it. We should not know that before walking into the theater. Whoever did this trailer likely did the film itself a real disservice. I feel bad for the actors.
Why do trailers show everything bro 😭
hahaha okkkk….okk i'm in!… sold!
Nah I'm good
Roadhouse
Yeah, looks about as crap as modern “art” itself.
En la miniatura Jenna Ortega parece que le hicieron un Michael Jackson
This trailer had a million red flags. Nah, I'm good
