Fatalities in Gaza City municipal building attack by Israeli forces

Five people, including four municipality employees and one passer-by, were killed in an Israeli air strike on a Gaza municipal facility in the heart of Gaza City. The attack took place on al-Wehda Street, a crucial area where many people from different parts of the city seek refuge. In addition to the municipality employees, the facility also housed individuals who had been forcibly displaced and were seeking shelter.

The facility targeted was a public garage where the municipality stored their trucks and equipment used for cleaning up areas affected by Israeli military strikes. Despite the close proximity to al-Shifa Hospital, which is no longer operational, the victims were transported to al-Ahli Arab Hospital for treatment. This tragic incident underscores the ongoing violence and destruction in Gaza, where civilians continue to suffer amid the conflict.
