Israeli protesters have taken to the streets and a general strike has been launched by the largest trade union in an effort to pressure the government to negotiate the return of hostages still held by Hamas. The heartbreaking discovery of six hostages found dead in Gaza has sparked outrage among the Israeli population, with hundreds of thousands of people demanding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire agreement with Hamas to bring the remaining hostages home.
The tragic deaths of the six hostages have shattered the belief that the destruction of Hamas and the return of the hostages can go hand in hand. Israeli political commentator Ori Goldberg highlights the contradiction between the two goals, as the nation grapples with the realization that their devotion to security may have unwittingly led to the loss of innocent lives. The notion of security and national defense, once considered sacrosanct, is now being scrutinized for its potential to have fatal consequences.
The Israeli people are facing a difficult reckoning with the cost of their relentless pursuit of security. The deaths of the hostages have laid bare the harsh reality that their dedication to national defense may come at a grave price. As the country mourns the loss of the six hostages and demands justice for their deaths, the conversation around security and the ongoing conflict with Hamas is undergoing a profound shift. Israelis are now confronted with the harsh truth that their unwavering commitment to security can inadvertently lead to tragic outcomes.

Полный бойкот израиля !!
Бегите, оккупанты, бегите. Пожили в чужих домах, на людских костях и хватит.
Why you bombed the tunnel if there were hostages indise?
After observing whats happening so far I think, Israel should accept hamas offer and get back the hostages and better vacate the land to Palestinians… democracy won't work for Israel idealogy. Even after loosing 40k+ nobody utter a word against hamas…and still nominated the person who was responsible for their suffering as the leader… Palestinians will get back their land with such determination… Israel lost its edge due to politics under democracy frame…their foundation got shaken unless they fix it Israelites should better have plan B. I could be wrong in my observation but just connecting the dots its obvious who's winning.
I'm really worried about Israel, and I have been following Israeli affairs since I was a teenager. I can't remember when the external and internal situations have been so dire at the same time.
And you call this a democracy? It’s an authoritarian regime just like Iran & Russia. The difference? Funded by US taxpayers.
bibi has to go…
