I recently ventured to the beautiful town of Herceg Novi on the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro, and decided to try out hitchhiking as a way to get around. The stunning coastal views and charming streets made for the perfect backdrop as I stuck out my thumb and waited for a ride.
As I quickly learned, catching a taxi in Herceg Novi isn’t as simple as it may seem. The town’s winding roads and limited transportation options made hitchhiking a viable and interesting alternative. Despite the initial uncertainty, I was pleasantly surprised by the generosity and friendliness of the locals who offered me a lift.
Throughout my hitchhiking adventure, I had the opportunity to connect with the locals in a unique way, exchanging stories and getting a glimpse into their lives. The experience not only saved me some money on transportation but also allowed me to see the town from a different perspective.
Exploring Herceg Novi on foot and hitchhiking my way around the town was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the local culture and make some unexpected connections along the way. Traveling through Montenegro is not just about the destinations, but also about the journey and the people you meet along the way.

Yeah, go to Kotor, that's the view of the lifetime above old town. This in Herceg Novi is baby view. Podgorica, the most boring city in Monte Negro. Nothing to see there. So many other more fun things to do and to see.
the real hike is to ILINICA or ST ILIJA church near Ubli. view of one million dollars
Why looks Montenegro richer than Serbia? I have visited Belgrade before 2 weeks and was shocked how poor this country looks like. Infrastructure and houses looked like they haven't been rebuilt since the war. Their was a district called Waterfront Belgrade a new project with skyscrapers but all in all Belgrade has a long way to go!
This looks so much better than the last scene. Beautiful

My advice is Always have a sign stating where you want to hitch to..I find it helps a lot. Good luck
lucky…🍻
Maybe the taxi cabs didn't stop because they saw the camera?
Love your videos
Have to call you on the Putin throwaway comment. Look up Victoria Nuland, Ukraine, 2014. If you want to be informed. Otherwise, perhaps, keep the current politics out of it. Having said that, luv your work.
Was in Zagreb, Croatia, Ljubljana, Slovenia, day trip to Lake Bled, Slovenia, 28:20 Day trip to Restoke and Plitvice waterfalls in Croatia, May, 2024, in 2 weeks going to Budapest, Hungary, I go alone, sometimes I wish I had someone to go too a restaurant with me, BY you traveling alone it gives me courage
Awesome 👍
Lovely country! I am old enough to remember it as Yugoslavia. My ex who was born and raised in Puglia, Italy, swore you could see the coast of Yugoslavia on a clear day ☺️
I love the lesser known not so touristy areas.
Thank you for sharing your tour in Herzeg Novi and your thoughts. Everything is amazing!
Yes Gabe.

74c is pretty hot
I want to go there just to visit the churches . saludos
Love your bro Gabe your awsome
I love hitchhiking, even at my age. 😂
The reason I find Gabriel's videos boring is that too much of the subject is about the journey or himself, which is nearly the same as in prior videos. The emphasis should be on the interesting aspects of the destination. I understand that the journey can be interesting, but most often it's the same.
I wish i were younger with no achy knees so i could visit beautiful Montenegro, Croatia, for that matter all of Europe. I like your raw content of just you exploring the beautiful cities of Europe without grandiose footage of you trying to sell the country to us.
Excellent video, complicated back ground Montenegro had. And a little confusing. 😊
You just lost a subscriber beacuse of the utterly stupid comment that you had about one word leader. You apparently have no clue and just swallow any global MSM lies.
Hey, Gabriel, not sure what your plans are for North Montenegro but if you’re there you may consider visiting Mileseva Monastery, it is in Serbia but not too far from border. Lot of history there.
Great destination choice. I know almost nothing about Montenegro so these vlogs are welcome.
