Boracay is Almost Perfect, But There’s One Problem
In the latest episode of “Gabriel Traveler,” adventure-seeker Gabriel Morris takes viewers on an immersive journey through the breathtaking island of Boracay, Philippines. Known for its stunning white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant local culture, Boracay is often hailed as a tropical paradise. However, as beautiful as this destination may be, Gabriel uncovers a pertinent issue that travelers should keep in mind.
The Allure of Boracay
Gabriel spends a week soaking up the sun, enjoying the tranquil beauty of the iconic White Beach, which is consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in the world. Viewers are treated to captivating visuals of serene beachside scenes, delicious local cuisine, and charming interactions with fellow travelers and locals. From swimming in the perfect ocean waters to exploring the lesser-known corners of the island, Gabriel’s experience captures the allure of Boracay.
The One Dilemma
As Gabriel revels in tropical bliss, he shares insight into one recurring problem he faced during his stay—frequent power outages. While he appreciates the developing nature of this beautiful island and understands the demands of tourism, the inconvenience of regular blackouts, especially in the evening, cast a shadow over his experience. With the Wi-Fi and air conditioning affected, Gabriel finds himself navigating evenings in dark hotel rooms, reminding viewers that even paradise has its challenges.
A Visit to Mount Luho
In addition to lounging by the beach, Gabriel also explores Mount Luho, the highest point on the island, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Boracay. His adventure culminates in a chance meeting with Andrew from Italy, also a travel vlogger, who shares insights into the joys and challenges of their journeys.

Gabriel, which do you prefer, beach towns or big cities? I think we know the answer!!
The one problem in Boracay is too many foreigners 😊
very nice
Another great vid, several behind as i like to keep a few in stock as i cant exercise without them (watch while on a exercise bike)
Much nicer than the beaches of Lake Mendocino 😂 have a great holiday season, safe travels
I love pH but……I will always choose Thailand 🌴 I tried the oh for many months and many places but it just get old trying to be comfortable and the price for things n quality is low there. Thailand just works and this island I'm on now is an absolute gem 🌴🤙🏼 cheers brother and looking forward to the next country…..is it Greek islands again?😂 cheers from koh yao
I have been in Boracay, Mövenpick resort. Really enjoyed it.
1st …..
to admit I wasn't 1st.
Have yet to watch ….
Should you end up back in Thailand (maybe already there) & find yourself in the Pattaya/ Jomtien area …The Sanctuary of Truth is must > pay for the Tour….worth it.
“The recent power cuts in Boracay have been caused mainly by faults and damage in the transmission infrastructure that brings electricity from the mainland — especially underground cables and a tripped 69 kV line. Efforts are ongoing to repair these issues and build a more robust transmission system, but in the meantime high tides and infrastructure fragility have contributed to recurring outages.”
For me beaches are boring, but maybe that's why people like them so much. No stress, no hassle, relax from all the stress of life.
The mix of paradise views and real-life problems is exactly why I never skip your videos. You help us see places as they really are.
Power outage would suck. I if It gets too warm sneak out to the beach and skinny dip for the craic 😂
I do not eat breakfast 99% of time. Those full breakfast shots make me want to fire up the skillet though.
Hi Gabriel, blackouts and brownouts are part of the Caribbean experience, as are planned outages. Everyone is looking for an alternative method for a power supply, solar or wind, to sustain this growth and use of energy. We're already seeing that implemented in many different places.
Gabe going somewhere in Thailand maybe Bangkok to reset? Here’s a suggestion for your next how about Phu Quoc? Weather not too bad right now.
very cool!!
Gabriel. You should use your left arm to hold camera, your right forearm is bigger than the left. You developed selfie arm😂
Love your videos! All the best!
I experienced a lot of brownouts while staying in the Philippines for months, but we always had some candles ready so that I was still able to read.
👍👍👍
At the end of the video I met up with Andrew from Italy, another travel vlogger. Here's one of his videos on the Cape Verde islands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Gmv07wHzrE
