Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy are engaged.
The celebrity couple shared the exciting news on Monday (Aug. 12) in a joint Instagram post captioned, “easiest yes of all time,” alongside a blue heart and ring emoji. The post includes three photos of the lovebirds hugging and flaunting the ring, and a reaction video of Giulia after she was proposed to. “I literally can’t believe this. I’m dreaming, this is a dream,” she says, assuring it’s “the best day ever.”
Giulia Be (a Brazilian singer-songwriter and actress) and Kennedy (a musician, activist, and son of politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr.) began dating in 2022. The latter, who keeps an under-the-radar profile on social media, briefly dated Taylor Swift in 2012.
The artist born Giulia Bourguignon Marinho, on the other hand, is a breakthrough Brazilian singer and actress who made her singing debut under Warner Music Brasil with her 2018 single “With You.” A trilingual act, who can sing in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, Giulia was nominated for best new artist at the 2021 Latin Grammys and for best portuguese language urban performance with “Aviso De Amigo” at the 2023 Latin Grammys.
In 2022, she made her acting debut in Netflix’s Depois do Universo (Beyond the Universe).
“It’s my first time acting,” she previously told Billboard. “I’m super, super happy with everything that’s been going on. It was my first experience, but it’s a beautiful movie. It’s unbelievable to see so many people see this beautiful story. My character is a classical pianist. She goes through the struggle of having Lupus and kind of dealing with the disease and her dream, and finding a way to make them both work. It’s a movie about hope and love.”
