Singer Chappell Roan is speaking out against the “creepy behavior” she has experienced from fans who feel entitled to her time. In a recent interview, Roan called out the abuse, harassment, and stalking she has faced, emphasizing that this type of behavior is not normal or acceptable. The rising star, who is set to perform at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, made it clear that fame does not give fans the right to invade her privacy or make her feel unsafe.
Roan’s candid remarks shed light on the darker side of being in the public eye, as she expresses her frustration with the expectations and boundaries that are often blurred by fans. The singer’s message serves as a reminder that celebrities are not immune to the harmful effects of obsession and harassment, and should not be subjected to such behavior.
As Roan prepares for her upcoming performance at the VMAs, she is using her platform to address an important issue that many in the entertainment industry face. By speaking out against entitled fans, she is sparking a conversation about the importance of respecting boundaries and treating celebrities with the same level of respect and privacy as anyone else.

Finally. A narrator with a voice that’s tolerable.
I don’t think you can be upset when somebody screams out at you from their car window since you’d have to consider you’re a whole famous artist and that they are a fan seeing a famous artist they may listen to and be excited, but regarding the upset when saying no to a picture, or a hug, or not wanting to be harassed, yes, that’s completely delusional and inappropriate. You can say no politely though when someone asks for a photo. Nobody is entitled to anything just bc they choose to support a person and that’s the reality of life. Unfortunately, those are the symptoms of a parasocial relationship. I feel like she could benefit from speaking / venting to the Gaga’s, Bieber’s and or Eilish’s of the world on how to navigate this. I can’t imagine the level of intrusion and entitled nature. Unless she really does quit 🤷🏾♀️
Not too often does an artist of this quality come along and her fame has shot up this year. I'm a fan, but in an appropriate way. Wish E News would have featured her talent, if you listen to the album it is a masterpiece. Sending love & peace to her and her band.
Yea u r ! But if you want normal life maybe you are in wrong career. Funny how u live off ppl money but don’t like what comes with it. My advice would be change to a more normalized lifestyle n job bc ure in wrong profession to feel this way! The nerve of some ppl
This bishh needs a more effective publicist…STAT
She 100% right. Fan etiquette and fan ethics shiuid be a thing — of course, even the word "fan" is disturbing: the root is "fanatic." Thats why whether the Beatles, Billy Joel, Stephen King — or other of ny favorite artists — I show my gratitude for their work by first, paying for it ($$$) and seeing myself as an admirer and supporter — not a "fan"(atic).
Shes right idk why people are hating her for this
My issue is the things she was listing in the beginning are actually things that we ALL could experienced, not just a "random lady". That's the only issue I have with this, not "she chose this". She just thinks it's a "her" problem, when it isn't just her, it's a lot of people. It's not just "entitled fans" that are creeps and stalk people. Stalking has existed well before "entitled fans" existed. If she just stressed out weird it was that would be one thing (Eminem wrote a whole song about it which I love), but her in the beginning listing off "would you ____", nope not me, but I'm pretty plenty of people watching would do those things to a "random lady", or anyone (men can get attacked too Chappel) regardless of how famous they are.
Also, if she's just now blowing up and she's already done with it she might as well "peace out". I don't blame her feeling that way, but it's really one of those situations where "If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen". If it's mentally that bad for her and she just NOW got the fame, she might as well walk if she's already "done" and just started (mean the fame part, understand she's been working since young).
You should learn from Selena Gomez. She is very genuine and classy. Maybe you shouldn't be famous. It comes with the job. Sorry….thats just the way it is with all this technology. You should look down a different career path. Not being hateful just truthful. Your private lofe no longer exists.
Well she should be happy to know I have no idea who she is and could care less. People need to quit putting the stars on pedestals. That's how we end up with the mark hamils of the world.
Stalking someone and being excited to meet that same someone you admire aren’t the same thing. Talk about entitled.
Perhaps not hitting the record button woulda been better here
