In a shocking video captured by a Philippine news crew, a Chinese vessel was seen ramming into a Philippine ship while 60 Minutes reporters were on board. This incident is just one of many in the ongoing tensions between China and the Philippines in the disputed waters of the South China Sea.
The escalating conflict has the potential to draw the United States into the fray, as they have long been a staunch ally of the Philippines and a key player in the region. The U.S. has already expressed concerns over China’s aggressive actions in the South China Sea, including the militarization of artificial islands and harassment of fishing vessels.
With tensions reaching a boiling point, the international community is closely monitoring the situation and urging for a peaceful resolution to the dispute. The U.S. could play a pivotal role in mediating the conflict and ensuring stability in the region.
As the situation continues to unfold, it is clear that the South China Sea remains a hotbed of geopolitical tensions that could have far-reaching implications for global security. #news #china #SouthChinaSea #Philippines #US #conflict #tensions

"Draw U.S. in"… Yeah, about that… I don't think the US has the courage to intervene directly when China is involved, unless there is an official declaration of war. They only intervened indirectly when Russia invaded Ukraine. If they don't fight Russia directly, then there is no way they will start doing it with China.
Of course nothing mentioned about how the US funds the Chinese military because over 50% of products sold in the US are Made In China. It is more important that we outsource manufacturing so CEOs, Share Holders, and Politicians can increase their profit than worry about financing the military of our "number 1 enemy".
If the worst happens, China attacks the Philippines, ASEAN brothers such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and other ASEAN countries, will stand up to help the Philippines..
Support Philippines from Indonesia ,, We are ASEAN Family.. 🔥
WAKE UP WORLD. If Chi,na was Militarily Strong Enough, they would claim the Whole World was part of some Magical Chi,nese Empire during Ancient Times and invade everyone. Chi,na has become the Modern Equivalent of Na,zi Germany.
Why 60 min are onboard at that time and place? Hmmm can it be coincidence or planned haha 😂. Like trump said all fake news…
Obama and Susan Rice are to blame – They didn't stand up to China.
An American Russian alliance would counter china but the chinese own too many of our politicians.
Fend of the Chinese with clubs? That is nuts.
Save the Philippines
Philippines are playing fire…do you expect American to die for your rusty warship…no single American would like that idea…
Biden is AFK, don't count on the US for any support.
They can't even do anything… Whether you admit it or not these Chinese vessels are powerful for Philippine to handle
So tell it like it is… China is bullying other countries, and it is time the free world puts a stop to it… the ENTIRE FREE WORLD!!!
Clearly this journalist has no idea about war.
For all the people out there saying that this is propaganda, the US has NEVER contrived an incident involving boats to flare up tensions between two competing powers… NEVER! 😏
12:21 CBS, do you have the same spirit about Ukraine?
This is entirely Biden's fault
This has been happening for the longest time. And the big bully China will always downplay the situation and portray to be the victim. US on the other is afraid of confrontation despite the fact of having a mutual defense treaty with the Philippines which should've been by now activated as ships are extension of sovereignties
What Trump say about you? Fake news😊
Corruption pays no respect!
The PI wanted the US military out of there. Should the US be obligated to protect them after they wanted us out? Please help me to understand this better.
Friendly reminder that the CCP systematically destroyed ancient Chinese culture during the "great leap forwards". So keep that in mind whenever you hear their ***** excuses for their ceaseless aggression. They have no respect for their own culture and no shame.
Thanks for covering this.
