China Condemns US Sanctions on Iran and Trading Partners
In a robust response to the United States’ recent announcement of expanded economic sanctions targeting Iran and its trading partners, China has vowed to protect its interests and defend its rights. The U.S. sanctions, described as “illegal unilateral actions” by Beijing, have sparked a strong rebuke from the Chinese government, which sees them as a direct threat to its economic dealings.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian articulated China’s firm opposition to these sanctions, emphasizing that the country would undertake “all necessary measures” to safeguard its interests. This declaration underscores the growing tensions between the U.S. and China over international economic policies, particularly concerning regions rich in resources like Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the U.S. Navy has effectively removed mines in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, contributing to security assurances in the region. However, these efforts are met with skepticism from China, which views the sanctions as an infringement on its sovereignty and trade relationships.
In the midst of this geopolitical strife, neighboring Pakistan has reported progress in negotiations with Iranian leaders aimed at fostering peace in the region. This development highlights the complexities of Middle Eastern diplomacy, as various nations navigate their interests amid U.S. policies and regional tensions.
As the situation evolves, the world watches closely how these diplomatic challenges will impact international trade and security in the region, particularly in light of China’s unwavering commitment to its economic relationships.

China leader is not stupid like Trump. He extended its relationship with all world more and more and emerged as a superpower .
Sanctions only work if the US blocks Iran's back door.
BS!!!!!!!
Canada and now China are trying to impact the US mid terms. Wonder what US Democrats are promising them behind the scenes.
Idc what the UK or Europe thinks about any of this. China can kiss America's ass. 🇺🇸🦅🫡
Murdering and marginalizing minorities is pretty illegal as well.
China leader is not stupid like Trump. They are capturing the world as a superpower and Trump is attacking the world and collapsing the US.
Does not seem like the US is doing too good on these campaigns. Little problems will build up, Iran takes alot of resources to patrol, Ukraine low missile supply, Mexico cutting off water, China ain't happy.
Ty China for standing up to this thin skinned tyrant! I think we are all waiting while he messes with the world order ! To end it and invest in stocks so he,his family, and his ass lickers can become richer!!!
I was watching Fox News this morning. When they said that the straits were cleared of all mines. And then in the next sentence , they said the president of the united states is working with partners to get mine sweeping equipment into the area… It blew my brain because I was trying to figure out why we needed minesweepers when all the mines had already been cleared???
What law hasn’t the CCP broken? Hypocrisy at its finest
China is complaining again, stop complaining and show so actions or shut up china
Are there any trading partners left Trump hasn't pissed off for no reason?
Do not tell us Trump's words; they're never aligned with the truth. It only propagandizes the narrative he needs.
Gaslighting all those who took notice.
Modern USA= HOT AIR BALLOON
Talks of peace making progress? I thought we had a signed deal and Trump declared the conflict officially over months ago.
iran really proved to be not a push over
i love all the .. you can't do that…. grab your popcorn and watch.
So you support china and Iran. Oh my god
My man from scotland translating the Chinese spokesperson.
On yearsel
Nice to hear
I'm surprised this hasn't expanded into fighting houthis. I figured china wouldn't agree, i just hope they can manage to remain civil and not escalate this.
I can only imagine how the rational minds in the US must be feeling right now…never ending nightmare.
What trump has done made the world leaders MAGA understand what makes civilizan break and have no more. Way to go Little Dick!
China's being reasonable. Unfortunately Trump doesn't understand reason.
They banned Applied DNA… and have no alt. :/ So China will not be able to prove their goods are not from areas where they have forced labor (slave camps), meaning it won't be able to be imported into the US and other nations that restrict trade from forced labor camps. So expect more goods seized at ports around the world since they have no proof of production location now.
There are other companies who are close to briding that gap in Europe but it would involve a HUGE wave of investment to get them close to what they need for the tracking and testing capabilities. (Last estimate I saw was hundreds of billions so that is a big chunk of cheddar)
Really this move only hurts China, so it would indicate that it isn't being done to punish the US company on their ban list, but really to fill a known growing worker shortage issue. These forced labor camps are SLAVERY under international law. The barring of human rights groups (not just US) really would compound that likelihood. So I expect there will be an increase in "arrested" Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyzs and Huis.
That said they can impose their own sanctions. If that results in less trade with the US it will just mean more factories will shift back to the US and to other US approved trading partners. As of 2026 the EU found that 1 in 3 EU nation owned companies had switched their supply source from mainland china. 30% of US companies did the same. 141 major manufacturers migrated 244 factories to other nations.
Top winning nations are Mexico, India, Thailand and Malaysia. Mexico came out on top apparently as the new #1 USA trading partner. Although the USA diversified trade dramatically during the trade wars. Very interesting times to live in. That was all an unexpected shake up that really redifined mulitple economies.
China can only complaint. She is not a global/ superpower like USA.
Trumps priority is himself. He is set to make a name for himself. He reaks of poor and selfishness attitude.
One way or another, good or bad he will have made a name.
It's crazy that America may be the bad guy in this situation
In simple terms.. china has the ice that cools the US. The us is threatening not to buy the ice hoping it will melt. This could get interesting but all of this will expose how vulnerable the US is
The bully has no more powers
Good luck. Really not .
WW3 is about to begin and guess where the president and his cabinet and family is going to be…in a bunker while everyone else suffers his decisions…..thats a fact!!!!…i really dont think people understand how serious this is… civilization has fell many times…the mayans wasnt that far off….the end is nigh….
That Chinese Trade Minister's Scottish accent is flawless.
I stand by Trump because Trump made 2B last year. He is the greatest President of the US in history ever.
IMPEACH, ARREST, IMPRISON TRUMP
China is correct! Illegal sanctions will just continue to cause more conflict. This is TRUE.
Donald and regime need to resign.
This is a failed bunch of unpresidential men over dosing on testosterone causing RAGING!
STOP WARRING!
Leaders don't care about the suffering of normal people and then he says Iran is true of that? Bro, look at the United States.
