The 60 Minutes report on the Strait of Hormuz has a glaring omission! On Friday, before the Sunday 60 minutes report, it was reported that Trump basically blew off his top general's warning that a U.S. attack could cause Iran to shut off the Strait of Hormuz. The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday night that Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned Trump that if the U.S. attacked, Iran could respond by closing the Strait, which connects the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. About 20% of the world’s crude oil passes through Hormuz. “Caine said in several briefings that U.S. officials had long believed Iran would deploy mines, drones and missiles to close the world’s most vital shipping lane, according to people with knowledge of the discussions,” the Journal stated. Trump blew it off. Why was that not part of the 60 Minutes report? Did the Trump-aligned CBS News censor keep it out? We count on 60 Minutes to tell us the full story! What we got was not the full story. Is it censorship or sloppy reporting?
The guys with this radar thing were injured by Iran drone, I saw him on a news story in Florida
Seventeen Day War 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Spain who didn't want anything to do with the Diaper Don is paying $8.50 a gallon ..
Lazers are great; IF- they won't be used on U.S. Citizens…?? 🤔😒
I LOVE THIS STORY IT FULLS MY HEARTS.
USA should fully commit – SHUT DOWN THE STRAIT FULLY UNTIL OUR GOALS ARE MET – NO EXCEPTIONS. They view this as our weak point – press in!!!!
Why is there no pipeline from Kuwait over land to bypass the strait? We have had influence over Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. They don't want to be blocked by Iraq either. Kinda late to think about it now but why hasn't our brilliant military planners identified this risk? We've sent billions of dollars to rebuild Kuwait and Iraq, why didn't we get this done as part of the investment to stabilize the area?
What about oil in the water? Nobody has said anything about that.
Beautiful want that doing in haiti
Seems like the winners in the Iran war so far are China and Russia ?
Locust. Good Name.!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's David slaying the Giant.!!!
Trump is a cursed man
Now would be the perfect time to start switching to alternative energy sources. We've had the technology for a long time but the government won't let it happen. If anyone has been paying attention the people with the blueprints to a solution have finally banned together and quit filing patents and being selfish and putting it out there for all to see
The idea of establishing a "buffer zone" or "security mandate" along the southern parallels of Iran (the 27th to 29th) is gaining traction in current strategic circles, particularly as Operation Epic Fury moves beyond its initial decapitation strikes. This approach focuses on the reality that Tehran’s central authority is geographically and culturally distant from the southern coastal regions.
The "Southern Fringe" Strategy: Parallels 27° to 29°
Focusing on these specific parallels would involve a controlled zone that effectively isolates the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf coastline from the northern interior.
* The 27th Parallel: This runs through the heart of the Strait of Hormuz, near Bandar Abbas.
Controlling this line would provide a direct naval buffer to prevent the IRGC from deploying mines or anti-ship missiles.
* The 28th & 29th Parallels: Moving the line north to these parallels would capture the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant and the critical energy export hubs like Kharg Island.
Establishing a "safety zone" here would essentially place Iran's entire economic engine under international oversight.
Ethnic and Tribal Alignment: The "Internal Fracture" Theory
Your point about the tribes is a central pillar of recent geopolitical assessments. The southern half of Iran is not a monolithic Persian block; it is a patchwork of ethnic minorities who have long-standing grievances with the central government in Tehran:
| Region | Primary Group | Current Sentiment (March 2026) |
|
| Sistan and Baluchistan (SouthEast)
| Baloch Tribes
| High separatist sentiment. Groups like Jaish al-Adl and the Mobarizoun Popular Front are already active and have called for nationwide strikes against the regime. |
| Khuzestan (SouthWest)
| Arab Tribes
| The "Ahwazi" Arabs live in the oil-rich southwest.
History shows they often feel exploited by Tehran; a "buffer zone" that offers them regional autonomy or oil-wealth sharing would likely find significant local support.
| Coastal Regions
| Bandari People
| Culturally distinct and historically more focused on maritime trade than the political ideology of the north. They would benefit most from an "Open Port" or "Hong Kong" style trade model.
|
The "New Mandate" Concept
If the U.S. and Israel were to pursue this, it would likely not be framed as an "annexation" but as a Regional Security Mandate.
* The Buffer Benefit: By holding the southern coast, the coalition creates a "buffer" that prevents Tehran from using the Strait as a geopolitical lever.
* Local Governance: Drawing on the "South Korea" model, the U.S. could support a provisional local administration made up of tribal leaders and secular technocrats. The goal would be to create a prosperous, "Free Southern Iran" that serves as a democratic counter-weight to the North.
Strategic Risks
The primary risk, as noted by the Atlantic Council and other 2026 reports, is the "Quagmire of Legitimacy." While the tribes might welcome the removal of Tehran's IRGC presence, they are also historically wary of foreign powers (remembering the 19th-century British and Russian "spheres of influence"). To work, such a plan would need to ensure that the "protection" doesn't feel like "occupation."
America is making the Double Killing of Iranians and on oil market. win Win situation Gods bless American!
Anderson Cooper is damage control!
Sycophantic people
The laser doesn't burn through commercial airplanes but it does easily blind the pilot. These "experts" are more salesmen than they are scientists.
Great work Mr. Mitch ,I thank you and your wife for giving these children and young adults a fighting chance.🙏🏽 you’re providing more than shelter in foot on the table. It’s the love that you are given them ,& that’s what’s going to motivate and push them to be the best that they can be. They will most definitely returning and give back.We believe in That ..! 🇭🇹
Anyone agreeing with an illegal war as a sycophant and has no place making decisions for anyone ever
Let me get this straight when you want justification for a war and you try to stir up support then you care about grocery prices BS
Historically, France and the United States has pillaged Haiti for their natural resources. And then we wonder why their country is in turmoil?
Bless Mitch and his wife . God loves the children
Russian Indian and Chinese ships are getting through… ships from countries tied to the Trump administration are not… Russia is getting rich!
Saudi Arabia built a pipeline straight across their country 40 years ago just in case something like this would happen why are you talking about that because that pipeline was never ran at 100% And it's only been running at 30% to 40% now it's running at 100% the idea that the Stranglehold on oil is insane but I guess it doesn't fit their narrative
You are a FOOL ….. causing a depression in America was the smart thing to do .. that’s right Trump told the interviewee what he could only say and if he said anything that resemble the truth, he wouldn’t have a job
So if Iranian regime wants something, for instance, to develop nuclear weapons, lift international sanctions, or to annex parts of Iraq, it just closes Strait of Hormuz and the whole world capitulates? Is that the message?
And no one is hitting back at Iran for its attacks on civilian and industrial infrastructure of its neighboring countries? Not even by those Gulf countries being attacked?
What. who says it is a war, did U.S.A government declared war on Iran, hell no, then why they are saying war with Iran???
U.S.A is in a conflict with Iran, not a war, only conflict.
Did the powers that be not know this would happen? Of course they did. And I’m sure they invested a bunch of money in oil products too!
They’er making a big profits over this! Like they do everything else they cause to go haywire!
Iran really needs to be controlled.
I’m sure Trump doesn’t give a sh**t how many die in his war. In fact he probably loves the list of those military and children and civilians killed or wounded. Glorious, eh? Did he plan for KIA? Make us laugh. Trump has the intellectual capability to plan of a six year old!
Maybe there should be conversations around minimizing dependence on oil
7:42 400 tankers parked in the Strait of Hormuz but100K barrels more daily going from Iran to China? Trump said on NHK that we only get 1% of U.S. oil from the supply passing through there so we shouldn't see a spike in U.S. gas prices, right?
Iran did nothing to the US or Isreal. May they be successful in defending their sovereignty. Isreal must be stopped. The US is broke and will fall without a single attack on the main land. Trump fell for the okedoke. Isreal wants the US out of the middle east. This war is doing exactly that. Our bases being destroyed our relationship with those countries destroyed. Every thing Isreal wanted and we did it for them. Trump is a low IQ idiot! Draining the swamp? Nope he jumped in head 1st into the swamp and became the worst swamp thing in our history.
Laser weapons give the enemy a direct line to where they are located.
I hope this is genuine. With all the Epstein Trump files, pedophiles, and human trafficking going in the world I have my reservation. God bless Haiti
Let’s take over the straight, it’s all worth it im use to paying crazy high gas prices under Obama and Biden.
Why would one want the enemy to know what their weapons can or cannot do?
Trump gets MONEY FOR WAR that's his greed and being BULLY he started fights since he was a child and his daddy loved it that is Trumps Personality big talker he can sell you into anything so did his king father head of household 😮
Trump wanted POWER and suggesting he be President he jumped on it switching from Democrats to Republicans Trump was Put into Military school because he was a terror in public school, bullying even to his brothers at home, his niece Mary knew the story!!
Excellent
A bit about the security situation in Haiti: in 2010 I wrote an article for my school paper about a family who was in the process of adopting a child from Haiti when the earthquake hit.
The problem with orphanages is they have food. They have water. The types of things people need when an earthquake hits. So the very things they need to keep children alive are also the very things that make them targets. With continued unrest I'm sure supplies like that can be sold for a huge profit and thus are targets for gangs looking to extort desperate people.
