Tough life
It’s hard when you have overnight flights and then don’t sleep on them, the next day is hard. I just always try to stay up the next day as hard as it is. Sometimes, a bit a food like cereal or a bun/bread helps me fall asleep if up early.
Try magnesium supplements an hour before bed time for the jet lag. 💤
14:46 Good idea, i always check before i leave to the next town.
The best thing is probably “force” yourself to be awake until the normal sleeping hours of the place you’re at. It works for me at least.
Overnight flights are uncomfortable, but once i arrived im ready to go 😁 tiredness is over 🙋♀️

The past couple of times I've been to the UK (coming from Montreal) I have taken direct red eye flights, arriving late morning in the UK. I will get to my accommodation then once I'm settled in I take a melatonin and then sleep for a few hours in the early afternoon time of the new time zone. Then I usually have enough energy to go out in the evening and stay up as late as possible to make up for the time difference. I take melatonin for the next few days and then I'm usually good. That's what works for me anyways. Interestingly enough, The UK doesn't sell melatonin legally over the counter..I think you can get it as a prescription…so I always bring my own. Not sure if its over the counter in the US?
I hear you Gabriel, jet lag can be debilitating. I can’t sleep very well on planes either. I flew to Germany recently and it took 23 hrs from Sydney to Munich. Only took a couple of days to adjust. However flying back to Sydney it took me almost 2 weeks to adjust. My sleeping pattern was all over the place. I wish I had an answer, I guess just go with the flow and your body will naturally adjust. All the more appreciative of what you do. 😊✌️
The most bizarre thing are sleeping pills. The worst is when I hear advertisements about sleep gummies, for parents to give their kids just so they calm down and fall to sleep.. whatever happened to being a parent and setting some rules? No, its 2024, and we drug our kids 😂
Jet lag racks the body. Cheers
hang in there Gabriel…youve been traveling a long time with tons of experience…you got this
Russia tried to overthrow Montenegro a few years ago. I think that's why you see stuff like navalny shrines. Love your videos Gabe. I'm working towards the ability to follow in your hypothetical footsteps!
Worst jet lag ever was – Tirana – Munich – Warsaw – Istanbul – BKK ………At least 10 days to recover in a nice A/C apartment
Try Melatonin for Jet lag
16:10 that is a lottt of food and wine for $19
I have done a lot of work as a background actor and taught myself to just hang my head and sleep anywhere, anytime it is possible.
I stayed up an entire 15 hour flight to Thailand, landed at 7:00 AM and didn;t go to sleep until that evening. I slept 10 hours, 10 hours the next night, and had a couple 1 hour naps. I think I was recovered by day 3 or 4. but still sluggish till day 5 or 6.
You sound like me. I’m a night owl and I can’t sleep on a plane, and always assume I’m the only one awake.
I’m really stressing as we are leaving very soon for Central Asia, from the US. Two long haul flights back to back and I know I won’t sleep!
I travel from Canada to Europe every year and find that travelling east (Canada to Europe) I only have a mild jet lag but traveling west back to Canada, it takes me a couple of days to get over it. I try to stay awake as long as possible, as close to the regular bed time and it seems to help.
Jet lag is exactly what my schedule is like working night shift
I find that if I arrive in my destination at night and I can go to sleep then it’s easier for my body to adjust to the new time zone.
I think the title is funny. JET LAG is an understatement!! Cause u never stop travelling! Ud be jet lagged more then most . And u managed to stay healthy. BLESS YOU !!
Dude skip one day of sleep and start taking magnesium daily.
Nice one G, but ice in the wine??
Hi Gabriel, I am betting you didn't feel it as much when you were younger and just started traveling the thing I find with traveling is a stimulus of excitement and anticipation of going somewhere different seeing things from a distinct perspective. Traveling creates different stresses, long flights can wear you down, body and mind adjust until you have finally caught up. You had that same issue when you went to Australia for several days and got little sleep.
Hi Gabriel have to say the meal looks amazing for what it cost. Cheers 🍻
