Delhi Weather: India’s capital still under prolonged heatwave

As India continues to battle through a brutal heatwave, the capital city of Delhi is still reeling under prolonged high temperatures. With the mercury soaring above 40C and some parts of the country even hitting 50C, the scorching heat has been taking a toll on the population.

To address the escalating crisis, the largest hospital in Delhi has opened a first-of-its-kind heat stroke emergency room. Despite these measures, dozens of people have tragically lost their lives to heat-related illnesses since the start of summer in March.
