Does anyone here actually work in trucking? I'm curious whether drivers would trust FSD or see it as a threat to their jobs.
People laughed at EV trucks a few years ago. Now almost every manufacturer is trying to build one. That's worth thinking about.
Serious question: If Tesla gets FSD working on the Semi before competitors, how long would it take for the rest of the industry to catch up? 2 years? 5 years? Or longer?
The modular battery strategy makes a lot of sense. Why force every customer to pay for a 500-mile pack if they don't need it?
I don't think traditional truck makers are standing still. Volvo, Daimler, and others have been investing heavily too. Tesla just gets more attention.
Interesting video, but I'd like to see independent fleet data before believing Tesla's efficiency claims.
I'm still not convinced FSD on a Class 8 truck is ready. One mistake with 80,000 lbs is very different from a passenger car.
If Tesla really delivers this on schedule, every major trucking company will have to rethink its strategy. But Tesla timelines haven't always been accurate.
Am I the only one who thinks the 300-mile version might actually sell better than the 500-mile one? Most routes don't need 500 miles.

Gorgeous 😍💕🌹💞🥰
Hope that Tesla will produce E Bus
I love it.

RIP scam compagny Nikola Motor with No real costumers
We desperately need to have self-driving semis. People are dying from truck drivers who cannot speak or read English due to the truck driver shortage.
Elon has made so many promises about FSD and yet nothing , the Chinese version is even better !
This is all pie in the sky nonsense again , over promising and never never delivers 😤😤😤.
For God's sake, another Cybertruck! And with a malfunctioning FSD, no less. Musk, to his advantage, stopped counting his FSD victims with DOGE.
Most of what's listed here is Musk's announcements and therefore BS.
In order to have self driving you will need the trailer to be outfitted with sensors at all angles
Appropriating the persona "Carnac the Magnificent and or El Mouldo sic." as Jonny no longer needs either. Tesla's Semi EV will become the largest disrupter in the trucking industry ever. And it will happen even faster in Europe… a 500 mile range EV semi will be more addictive than crack to Europeans.
