I'm curious, since brexit, what does Ireland use for $$? Is it pounds in northern Ireland and euros in the republic?
Highly recommend the series Britannia for some quirky storytelling about Britain during the Roman Empire.
I think you should be reading Swallows & Amazons 🙂
I’m watching ⚽️🏴🇫🇷 and there are goals everywhere ! Just for you!
PS beaches is sand and sea, Beech trees maybe? It’s pronounced Kes-ick, no ‘w’! 😊
Really enjoying your videos, thank you for visiting the Lake District!👏
If soccer is lacking goals, it wasn’t today! England 6 France 4 ! What a match !!
Hi Gabe, great video as always. Why not try Wales whilst in the UK. You'll find great scenery and much ancient culture. Safe travels.
It was loads of fun for me to see this area thru your travel. Thanks!
Beautiful
The scenery is just beautiful. Thank you for such an in-depth tour around the Lake District. Definitely a lot more to see. Very inspired to get back there and visit those places. Such a fabulous video! ❤
"Fell" is a Norse word for "hill." This area was settled by Norsemen long ago, and Cambrian is a dialect which can be understood by people who speak Danish.
great vlog dude 🙂 you really did good coming at this time of year, it always rains in the lakes
I visited Castlerigg Stones in 2010. They havent changed a bit 😂 Beautiful area around the Lakes district and the Yorkshire Dales. Loved both those areas. Thanks for bringing back the memories 😊The Beeches refers to a Victorian 5 bedroom residence on the edge of Keswick. A beech tree is a large tree in the UK. Keswick is the home of the Derwent pencil brand. There is a museum.
John Ruskin…famous "Renaissance man" of the 19th century, influential in many spheres, but chiefly art.
Hi Gabriel I am a Yorkshire lass now living in Athens Greece 🧿💙🇬🇷 I don't know how long you are planning to stay in the UK..but I'd like to recommend you some quaint places to visit in East Yorkshire…Whitby, Staithes and of course Knaresborough and York xxx Enjoy your journey and making memories x
How are you getting on with all the different UK Accents Gabriel.
Penrith and the Eden valley are lovely and much less touristed than the Lake District.
The Beeches in Keswick is a guest house…plus its spelt completely different to the beaches you referred to…lol x
Beeches, not beaches, they are trees !!! Anyway nice video, maybe 58 years since I was there. England 6 France 4 enough goals for you?
Yes, England itself has alot of nice places to see, The Netherlands got the short end of the stick compared to the neighbouring countries when it comes to variety in beauty.
Have you ever been to the Scottish Lowlands? It's just a short trip from the Lake District – Galloway Forest Park and some amazing hiking really off the tourist trail.
Also consider going to the Cheviot Hills, before passing over to the Northumberland Coast (Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island etc) – all amazing places in the north of England
We know you speak excellent sheep
Lake District is a lovely prelude to seeing magnificent scenery of Scotland, hope you make it over the border, although accommodation can be pricey
I think people are going to enjoy this as something a little different, which is an hour long interview with Conor Clyne, another traveler originally from Ireland, who spends most of his time in eastern Europe. I sat down with him in Chisinau, Moldova when I was there a couple weeks ago and we had a great discussion about travel, eastern Europe and various other topics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3h7PkBRY5P0
