Elon Musk is known for his bold statements and futuristic vision, and when he says that the Tesla Semi is the best money machine, it’s worth paying attention. The impressive specs of the Tesla Semi have been the talk of the town, with its high volume and insane features ready to roll out in December.
During the recent Q3 earnings call, Musk emphasized the efficiency and cost-saving potential of the Tesla Semi, describing the demand for the electric truck as “ridiculous.” This is because the operating costs of the Semi are significantly lower than traditional diesel trucks, making it a no-brainer for fleets looking to save money in the long run.
But what really has Semi customers excited is the new feature that Tesla is developing for the truck. While details are still under wraps, it’s clear that Tesla is committed to offering cutting-edge technology that will revolutionize the trucking industry.
Not only is Tesla using the Semi internally to streamline its operations, but the company has also started delivering trucks to external customers. This move will open up a whole new market for the Semi, making it accessible to a wider range of customers beyond just freight transportation companies.
With the Tesla Semi poised to change the game in the trucking industry, it’s no wonder that Musk is touting it as the best money machine. Whether you’re a fleet operator looking to save on costs or a trucking enthusiast keen on the latest technological advancements, the Tesla Semi is sure to make a big impact when it hits the roads in the coming months. How will the transition to electric trucks influence job roles within logistics companies?
Can you discuss how Tesla plans to ensure the safety of the Semi in varied weather conditions?
What challenges do you think Tesla will face in convincing traditional trucking companies to switch to electric?
I love the idea of electric trucks helping to improve city air quality.
How will we get them in Australia and when and how much will they cost here
Parabéns Sucesso Sempre meu querido
Excelentes todos muito lindos💐💐💐💞💞💞
I'll hold you to that Iron Man December 1,2024
That makes 60% only payload ratio to the total weight (which is limited, remember)…So this is a huge liability compared to other trucks where more of the total weight is payload. I'm starting to understand why one doesn't see them on the roads. The batteries eat up too much of the total weight. Thunderfoot was right on the issue, even if he exaggerated a bit.
I see a problem with all of this though, wouldn't the increased weight of the semi limit overall payload allowed for road limits (as in roads and bridges and stuff have a maximum allowed vehicle weight allowed)
I think the negatives of this needs to be addressed or at least talked about so the customers know of the downside upfront.
Awesome article, Love to here about the Future
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
So many people will be without a job in the near future.. 🙁
1.7 kw cost .10 not .30
Elon Musk is one of the fallen angels/ demons that got kick out from heaven for their rebellion. A lot of them are in this generation (celebrities, politicians, scientists) Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon🙏🏼❤️🕊Repent, believe in the Gospel, Be Born Again
Elon needs to produce 100k annually and earth will be greener, corporation will save money and consumer will benefit.
They are worthless until he puts in a charging network like he did with the cars. Also I am tired of hearing the lie about a driver shortage, the reality is that there are too many drivers out on the road and it is keeping freight rates at record low levels.
He will say anything to sell his product to you
Well, i was a little bit confuse… I have read the article last year about the real life test Coke have done with the tesla Semi… When use like a normal truck… Full load… The truck need two charge a day , so they will need to have a lot more truck to compensate… The battery pack is close to double the size a model 3… When the engineer have call the electricity company to have info about the grid capacity, they start laughing!!! Only to charge the Ev truck fleet they need as much as the complete town… The actual grid can’t do it without completely redone it!!! (x2 capacity)… I will try the find the article…
The Tesla Semi is so amazing! I heard companies who have 6 or more will be able to join them together to form the ultimate vehicle similar to Voltron but in real life! Elon promised this feature by 2027 at the latest! This is the future brought to the present thx to the brilliant vision of Elon Musk!
Companies like Pepsi, Walmart and so on, have fleets that travel from warehouse to stores or smaller warehouses. Tesla would do an amazing job here. This is a large part of transport routes. As a driver who travels often long haul in the North, I wouldn't trust the truck. Truckers are not guarantied an after hours parking spot. So if you run out of hrs, you have to park on an off ramp. You can't go hunting for a charge station. So in freezing weather, you better have enough charge to keep you warm. Yes I do plan for fuel and parking. But customer longer than planned unloading, traffic issues and weather does cause problems in the best planned routes.
In short, sure, I really like the Tesla truck. But no way will you convince me that service on that truck costs less than a Freightliner.
I don't see how this will ever compete with a diesel truck that drives non-stop for 16 to 18 hours a day. No way you could ever use this on long-haul routes.
Good for local short runs. But long cross country runs, No.
They should be mandatory in big cities
❤🎉
Seems to me it will take a lot of permits licences and probably a lot of red no blue tape to cut Elon Muskrat has burned some no all bridges toward those who can approve or not approve of thing he wants to do ..could be a tough 4 years for this idiot who has put himself in the trump camp and we know he can’t win the momentum is a blue wave forming and must screws us stock holders because he has been so vocal and vulgar and has made some serious enemies he doesn’t need he has handcuffed himself no Tesla and the boring and space ex has a terrible wake up call coming when it comes to the next president he picked a looser and bet the farm our farm stock holders
And the rest of the semi producing companies is asleep……..
More demand on the power grid..lets have that discussion!..more demand requires more power that raises EVERYBODY'S energy costs!!
If they can get 500 miles out of them they will nail the market.
Fact is this is Tesla so be doubtful will even begin production beginning 2026 and 50,000 is the factory capacity always late could be years away
At the company I drive for we had switched to compressed natural gas years back, and we have a pump station to refill the trucks. We do have several diesels, but those are for the five drivers that do OTR. We are mainly a medium-sized company that has local and regional operations. I drive mine on a route that takes me 300 miles round trip 5 days a week. An electric Semi might make sense for us, but the company has three BYD Chinese-made Semis that are being tried in a pilot program only inside our city. Coworkers tell me they are crap. They break down all the time and the range isn't living up to expectations. I think we're getting rid of them. I hope if we do they will give Tesla a chance. I'd love to drive one.
Congratulations Elon Musk God Bless you both your families, colleagues, Employees God Bless the United States of America Peace, Unity and Prosperity..
This guys voice sounds like a shit salesman trying to sell shit to a shitter… Don't Believe it! No Matter what he says.
